A passenger plane collided midair with a Black Hawk army helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in what was described as an explosive fireball. Dozens are feared dead (no count yet). 67 people were aboard the two crafts (64 on the airplane, three on the helicopter). - The news was confirmed by the DC fire department at 9:09 PM EST.
At present, one source says 18 fatalities are confirmed. The number may grow. UPDATE: There are no survivors. This is the deadliest U.S. aircraft disaster since November 2001, according to news outlets.
This midair collision occurred a day and a half after the new Caplunar for which I made (for Washington, DC) the following forecast:
