Richard Speck, according to his birth certificate, was born December 6, 1941, 1:00 AM, in Kirkwood, IL. He tortured, raped, and murdered eight nurses in Chicago July 14, 1966, beginning at 11:00 PM (though it wasn't his first murder or rape of the night).

He died in prison of a heart attack one day before his birthday on December 5, 1991 in Joliet, IL.

He was a Scorpio-Gemini. (Yes, drug and alcohol abuse are a significant part of his story. Add Mercury in Scorpio and a 0°00' orb on a 10°-multiple Mercury-Mars aspect)

Neptune is a mere 0°08' from his Ascendant, if one takes the even-hour birth time as correct. His closest aspects are both static, a 23' trine of Venus to that rising Neptune and a 29' Mercury-Pluto trine.

Among his more important close aspects are Sun opposite Jupiter (and they are trine-sextile Mars); and Uranus stepping in to complete a Venus-Uranus-Neptune grand trine.

For the murders, he had the following:

Transits
t. Pluto -90- r. Jupiter -39'
t. Pluto -135- r. Venus +46'
t. Uranus -90- r. Jupiter -24'
t. Saturn -180- r. Neptune -21'
t. Saturn -180- r. Asc +11'
-- average orb 0°05'

t. Jupiter -90- r. Mars -14'

Secondary Progressions
p. MC -90- p. Mars -17'
p. Moon -45- p. Mars -54'

p. Sun -135- r. Saturn +13'
p. Moon -150- p. Sun -23'
p. Mercury -150- p. Jupiter +28'

SSR
Moon 1° below Dsc, Neptune < 5° below Asc.
Natal Uranus and some Saturn implicated.
(No transits to the SSR.)

SLR
Partile Moon-Jupiter conj. on MC with Mercury. It does, however, bring natal Mars to the Dsc. For Chicago, his natal Mars set at 21°12' Pisces, and SLR Dsc was 20°13' Pisces.

He died in prison of a heart attack one day before his birthday on December 5, 1991 in Joliet, IL.

His prior Solar Return, from 364 days earlier, had:

Saturn on MC (3°05')
Moon-Pluto sq. (1°53')
Mars rising widely

Had he lived one day earlier, his new SSR would have featured Venus closely conjunct IC, albeit square Saturn (which was not, itself, angular). The old SSR was still in force.
