Good luck Arena on your up-coming Jupiter-Uranus cycles. FWIW, for a true “Thank-You-Lord” Jupiter-Uranus angular cycle to manifest potently—there should be very stressful ‘inner tensions’ in one’s life pertaining to something in their immediate environment. Angular Jupiter-Uranus cycles release these “inner tensions.”

Thanks Steve. I hope it will be good
Maybe you can call it tension when people have given up their jobs and don't have much of a steady income - that sure can make your mind go into brainstorm as to what to take on next
Here are some interpretations from this forum:
JUPITER aspecting Natal URANUS
Your creativity, originality, and innovativeness are encouraged by others. Increased prosperity, status, esteem from others, or self-esteem come from your ideas, inventions, or discoveries. An inner restless dissatisfaction inspires you to make progressive alterations in your circumstances; to reach further than you have previously reached, regardless of some obvious risks, to improve the quality of your life and broaden your horizons. You gain renewed confidence in the part of you which demands to be unique, progressive, and free. Technological advances (such as computers) gain in importance to you. A sudden change may occur in your financial situation, perhaps due to speculation; but such gambles are too unstable now to bank on if you can't afford to lose.
IN BRIEF: Your originality is applauded and encouraged. Possible gain from new ideas. Personal sense of uniqueness is exalted (leading to egoism?). Restless dissatisfaction for broader horizons.
URANUS aspecting Natal JUPITER
This awakens the best in you - unless ego gets in the way! An innate sense of specialness or fortune descends on your life as your finances, career orientation, ethics, and beliefs are reorganized. Generally a progressive, success-oriented period with some sudden change in fortune - probably in your favor. A time of considerable thought, it also brings philosophical and intellectual reconsiderations, a shift in your point of view on life. You restate to yourself your values, ethics, and key beliefs. Professional (and perhaps educational) goals are reexamined, your attitudes toward prosperity reshaped, liberating you from prior barriers to advance and self-betterment.
IN BRIEF: Awakens the best in you! Sudden changes in fortune, probably for the better. Oriented to success and progress. Point of view, ethics, and values are reexamined. Watch out for undue ego.
t. JUPITER aspecting t. URANUS
"sudden windfalls and 'runs of luck' which lead to unanticipated rises in the economic level of the native. Sudden honors often befall him, and he not infrequently receives most favorable notices, to his great joy and profit. If he has struggled for some time to make his mark in the world, these configurations will most certainly bring about conditions whereby he may finally make the grade. The keynote... is ]success.'"
t. JUPITER & t. URANUS
"...credited with bringing in its wake unexpected good luck, financial windfalls and all the excitement that such entail. The native handles larger sums of money than at any previous time and usually spends it gaily; traveling swallows not a little of it."

Indeed! I have been there-- done that-- a couple of times in my life. A drain of income always causes ‘inner tension.’ Allow me to demonstrate how I isolate transits that I know will manifest planetary symbolism very potently in my life.
I always use Jim’s teachings where he says:
Partile aspects reign supreme.
When is t. Jupiter partile cnj your Natal Uranus in the near future?
1: Nov 18-Nov 27 2016
2: April 21- May 10 2017
3: July 10th- July 29
These will be the potential “Thank You Lord” optimum ‘reigning’ time periods in your near future when this Jupiter transit to your Natal Uranus may manifest the “Thank You Lord” aspect. But believe me, through time tested experience with my life long solunar charts you want to see this Jupiter transit to your Natal Uranus fall in the immediate foreground (within 3 degrees of an angle), preferably partile cnj a solunar angle. When this happens—is when we see “outstanding events” relative to our immediate environments manifest. Remember, solunar charts are transits charts. It just so happens I have a “Thank You Lord” aspect in my near future falling on my angles of a SSR chart. Below is my next SSR quarter chart:

1: Note: There is a partile 180 of Jupiter-Uranus falling in RA partile cnj my Eastpoint-Westpoint axis. This immediately tells me there is very high % probability there will be some type of inner tension going on in my life. Normally, when we get partile conjunctions of planets on a solunar angle we will see a manifestation very near the time of the solunar chart.
2: Note: Saturn partile 60 Jupiter and Saturn partile 120 Uranus. Most Siderealist do not use sextiles and trines, but through my life long experience with solunar charts, when partile sextiles and trines are connected to a planet partile cnj a solunar angle you damn well will see a manifestation of the planet that is partile sextile or trine the planet on the solunar angle. So, I already know there is a tinge of Saturn involved with my “Thank You Lord” angular Jupiter-Uranus quarter SSR. BTW, the only time I pay any attention to any type of solunar chart is when I see planets in the immediate foreground (within 3 degrees), and then I want to see a foreground planet connected to another planet(s) with partile aspects for an ‘outstanding incident’ relative to my immediate environment. Also, never forget there is nothing more potent in astrology expressing its planetary symbolism than a planet ON an angle.
3: Note: There is a tight cnj of Mercury-Pluto in the immediate foreground of my quarter SSR. Mercury is station so this Mercury-Pluto aspect will be more potent than most Mercury-Pluto conjunctions. Also, my Natal Mercury is partile cnj my quarter SSR Asc partile squaring Pluto in the heavens. This a very important double whammy of angular Mercury-Pluto involved with my quarter SSR.
I am pretty sure I already know how this quarter SSR will manifest pertaining to my immediate environment within 30 days after the beginning of this quarter SSR. It will manifest in one or two ways (maybe both ways). I will go into more details when this quarter SSR begins, but I already KNOW for sure, because of the “Thank You Lord” aspect of Jupiter-Uranus falls ON my quarter SSR EP-WP axis, there will be some type of intense (Mercury-Pluto) ‘inner tensions’ in my life which will be released with the “Thank You Lord” angular aspect of Jupiter-Uranus. Arena—do you see/understand how I differentiate between a partile transiting factor to a natal factor with our solunar charts? IMO, there is big difference involving potency for planetary manifestation pertaining to ‘outstanding incidents' relative to our immediate environments with a partile transiting factor not falling in the immediate foreground of our solunar charts. But, still a benefic partile transit to our natal charts, without it falling on/near our solunar angles, is still good to see for our near futures. You definitely should see some "Thank You Lord" relief with your upcoming t Jupiter partile cnj your Natal Uranus.

Yes I see what you are saying Steve. Thanks for the dates - still don't have SF up, so only using astro.com now.
It will most probably manifest differently for you than for me.
The aspect will act on my natal angles, not SSR angles... but I'm pretty sure it will have a significant meaning to my financials. I can see it happening already as preparations have begun. Am laying the foundations to our own little investment company in real estate. Our little investment made back in February 2015 has really paid off, with a price increase of 40%, which is going to be used to increase our investment capabilities.
That tr. Jupiter will conjunct my partner's n. Mercury at that time ... and now he is finally getting ready to take more risks and wants to do this with me
But SSR Saturn is on his n. IC (if BT is right) and that can indeed mean "making foundations" and investing in real estate.
In 2017 SSR Uranus will be partile SSR Dsc and in trine aspect to n. Jupiter. Still it's different than yours.

My SLR of 29 January 2017 has a similar symbolism to Steve's upcoming quarti-SSR: Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto and Mercury are angular (without the Saturn sextile/trine to Jupiter/Uranus though).
From the most angular to the least, in mundo:
Jupiter 0°20' from MC
Pluto 1°04' above the horizon
Uranus 1°55' from IC
Mercury 2°07 also above the horizon
Angular aspects, in mundo too:
Mercury sq. Uranus 0°12'
Uranus sq. Pluto 0°51' (insignificant?)
Mercury conj. Pluto 1°03'
Jupiter sq. Pluto 1°24'
Jupiter opp. Uranus 2°15'
And lastly, since Steve says partile trines from a partile angular planet may manifest too, Jupiter trine SLR Moon 0°53' (ecliptically not so close though)
Pluto a bit worries me as it has a 'confrontation' and 'now or never' quality to it, but nonetheless it definitely seems like a game-changing chart, hopefully for the good.
In late January next year I would've already finished writing my SPM exams (Malaysia's equivalent of the GCSE, O-levels etc) and I'd probably be working part-time while I wait for my results, which will come out later in March. So if there's any 'inner tensions' that Steve suggests before any manifestation of Jupiter-Uranus, it's probably the stress from my part-time job.
Could it mean a raise, and a promotion in my part-time job, since the SLR occurs on the end of the month?
It may mean I would win a scholarship, (Mercury-Uranus, a surprise through the mail) but since my SPM results are pending, any scholarship I'd get would be based on my SPM-trial results, but they're probably aren't so colourful enough to be rewarded a scholarship IMHO, i.e. they're average.
But if it is a scholarship, I might stand a chance to study abroad since Uranus is at the IC—very symbolic for a shift in residence.
Again, I'll mention that Pluto worries be slightly. Hopefully everything turns out well.

Yes, I pay close attention to any kind of partile aspect when connected to a planet tight or partile cnj an angle for clear manifestations; otherwise, I totally ignore sextiles and tines. I pay much greater attention to partile conjunctions, squares, and oppositions--these are the aspects which pertain to hard core manifestations.
Let me offer a working example with my natal chart. I have n. Jup in mundo 1,30 cnj n. Asc. This Jup receives a partile trine from n. Mars. This Mars-Jup aspect is a major tone/theme for my life. Mars-Jupiter is recognized my Siderealist’s as a signature pertaining to athletic sports. In high school & college I participated in a-lot of sports, but was only a fair athletic. If I had been born with n. Mars where my n. Jup is placed and n. Jup where my n. Mars is placed, and this Mars-Jup aspect was a partile 90 instead of a partile 120, I probably would have received some type sports scholarship for college.
Another main tone/theme of my n. Jup partile 120 n Mars. Bradley writes from his book ‘Taking the Kid Gloves off Astrology’ a great writing by Bradley:
Jupiter rules gambling and speculation.
I was a born gambler with my Natal Chart. I started gambling when I was in the 6th grade. Also, at one point in my life a company paid me a good salary to speculate (Jupiter) at times aggressively (Mars) with their company investment funds. The company paid me excellent commissions only on the profits I made for the company. I was taught by smart pros on the Chicago Board of Trade how to speculate successfully.
When I was young and immature I found I had a natural capacity to make fast money with a small amount money, but there was one big problem: All the easy fast money I made with gambling, I would waste it away by losing the gains back by gambling too long. The trick is too never gamble too long at one outing and always protect your gains by setting limits where you will not lose all your gains back in a winning gambling session. Mars-Jupiter symbolism is notorious for wasting money. Spending money constructively is OK—but wasting money foolishly is not OK! When I see prominent angular Mars-Jupiter symbolism with my charts I will not gamble. Bradley has taught us Siderealist: Jupiter spends the money, and Saturn saves the money. So, this is how I release my n. Mars-Jup aspect in my life in a positive manner: When I make excess money gambling, I spend it on pleasurable things and have fun. But the number 1 rule with gambling is to never ever gamble money which you cannot afford to lose. If you will follow this number one rule-- you will have fun gambling even when losing, but of course more fun when you win. As we astrologers age we see/understand more how our Natal Charts manifest the planetary symbolism in our environments, and can unite our minds (mind over matter) and work with our personal astrological universes---with more harmony and alleviate (not eliminate) malefic action. I deviate from the topic of this thread but later I will discuss more about the great 'tension release value' of prominent angular Jupiter-Uranus.

Thank you for sharing how your Mars-Jupiter trine manifested in your life, Steve. That was very insightful, and as a person who has an angular Jupiter which is trined by Mars, I could fairly relate.
I must say I sounded like as if I was dubious about the manifestation of trines and sextiles. I was just trying to be more open-minded, and I absolutely have no doubt that the soft aspects work, especially so in natal charts.

I have an almost exact semi-square transit of Jupiter-Uranus today.
This afternoon the people from a venue where I sometimes work called me and said they found my mobile work phone undamaged in the building. It disappeared from my desk and it looked like it was stolen.
Ebertin says on this aspect:
Jupiter-Uranus
Optimism, a lucky chance, blissful realization.

This situation will probably have something to do with my ‘Thank You Lord’ first quarter SSR Dec 19 (posted above). The last week of betting points for this pool is Dec 31st 2016. Everyone in this pool puts-up $200.00 to enter pool, and are given 10,000 points. Every weekend we must bet minimum at least half our points up to a max of 8 games, which puts a-lot pressure on us to maintain a healthy balance of points for final weekend. 121 entries with total prize pool $24,200-- $12,000 for first place, $7,000 for second, $5,200 for third. I guarantee if I am still in the running for prize money, I will be under a tremendous amount of “tension” for my ‘Thank you Lord” quarter SSR. Remember Saturn is partile aspected to my 1st quarter angular Jupiter-Uranus. Could be a very exciting Xmas present or Saturn could symbolize no win for a prize. I know this: Whatever points I have for Nov 26th game between Auburn-Bama, I will be taking Auburn + the points—and betting all my points. I implement Sidereal astrology at my disposal to bet half my points every weekend. What got me in this excellent position was a tight angular Sun/Jupiter =IC on a recent SLR--but that SLR has ended. Will update this very exciting situation.

Just thinking a bit more about this aspect, since I am thinking of possibly trying to use it for an event chart, to lock in this position of the planets (or at least give it a try as an astrological experiment).
I am wondering about the dignities of the planets. Jupiter is now in the sign of it's detriment if we are looking at sidereal movement. Next year it will move out of Virgo and into Libra and oppose Uranus again during September 2017. Would you guys think that there is a different kind of strength to that aspect than it will be for Jupiter-Uranus opposition in Virgo/Pisces?
In my location, the morning of 27th September will have the Jupiter-Uranus opposition on ASC/DSC angles and my n. Sun in conj with pr. Venus on MC. The opposition will have tr. Moon in trine and sextile aspect along with my n. Jupiter and opp. n. Venus. At 14.25 that day Jupiter will be on MC in Edinburgh - but then the ASC will have moved very close to tr. Saturn.
If we move on to October 6th 2017 - Jupiter will already be separating from the opposition, but is still within 3° and the Moon will be conjunct the aspect on Uranus side. The heavens display a Venus-Mars conjunction and Mercury Sun conj. Could also be a good day for an event chart. But I worry about the Saturn connection in that chart.
Thinking about all this I thought I'd take a look at my lunar return for sept. 2017 in Edinburgh ... OMG!

Now you are cooking with Sidereal Astrology SLR'S. An 'outstanding incident' of Venus-Uranus is foretold with this SLR. Venus-Uranus is in paran formation, the most potent of all aspects. Jupiter in immediate foreground. Note SLR Venus partile cnj your n. Mercury. Also note your next SSR has Sun-Uranus in paran formation indicating lots of excitement/changes.

So is it your general opinion that planet's dignities are not of importance?
If they would be, we would most probably see Jupiter give it's best in Cancer, Sagi and Pisces and the least(or be unable to operate at full potential) in opposite signs.

For that one purpose, correct; but don't over-generalize. They certainly impact character in a natal to some extent (non-luminary sign placements are much less important than most other valid astrological factors, but there's always some part of it), and planet sign placements matter in terms of general tone of the world; but saying Jupiter in Virgo is on one of my chart angles vs. Jupiter in Libra is on one of my chart angles makes little-to-no difference. What matters is that Jupiter is on an angle.
Something that theoretically would make more sense is that, in the case of a transit, the transited planets sign would provide more context for the outcome; but even this isn't a big effect, and maybe any seeming effect is wishful thinking. For example, Uranus' transiting square to my Mars in Sagittarius could theoretically be seen as having an impact on Sagittarian things or (more seat of the pants) that it is a little bit like Uranus transiting Jupiter at the same time it transits Mars. But, while I'm certain my Mars being in Sagittarius makes a significant contribution to my character, the effects of Uranus' first pass to my Mars had no obvious, discernible Uranus-to-Jupiter or Uranus-on-Sagittarius themes.
If they would be, we would most probably see Jupiter give it's best in Cancer, Sagi and Pisces and the least(or be unable to operate at full potential) in opposite signs.
If there were any effect, I wouldn't say Jupiter would give its best in those signs, so much as it would give its purest. I'm not sure there's such an effect for transiting planets, but the behavior in natal astrology is that dignified planets, being in a context most like themselves, are... most like themselves. In Jupiter's case, that also means his best
.

Yes I see what you mean Jim. I find it difficult to reach any kind of conclusion in my mind about the dignities.
Anyhow, I look forward to see the effects of this Jupiter-Uranus opposition this year and next year for all of us.
I think I said it earlier in this thread that it seems to have meant travel/holidays for me when Jupiter was last on my Uranus. It seems to mean the same thing this time around - will be travelling for Christmas vacation in the sun next month. Opposition meant sudden unexpected publicity and honor, we could also call it a lucky break.
