Donald Trump vs. other U.S. Presidents

Let's see how the primary elements in Donald Trump's natal chart compare to those of the 43 men who have preceded him.

SUN IN TAURUS. Until now, Taurus Sun was tied with Aquarius and Cancer Sun for the least common Sun-sign of presidents. It now steps out of their shadow a bit, tying Leo for next-to-last place. The only two prior Taurians were John Kennedy and George H.W. Bush, both of whom are noted for being rather decent human beings.

MOON IN SCORPIO. This is moderately high-average, with four total. Prior lunar Scorpians are energetic, freedom-loving figures Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Gerald Ford.

MARS ANGULAR. Mars is one of the most commonly foreground planets - with the military role, executive function, and simple raw level of competition, this isn't surprising. Others include Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton, Andrew Johnson (all of whom have it rising), FDR, Eisenhower, Hoover, Grant, Taylor, Harrison, and the early trio of Washington, Jefferson, and Monroe. There are five major generals in this group! Notice that his rising Mars is shared by the only two presidents who have ever been impeached. - Only Zachary Taylor and Andrew Johnson have had only Mars foreground.

MARS IN LEO. Mars spends more time in Leo than nearly any other sign, so it's no big deal that it ranks second among U.S. presidents. Priors include LBJ, George W. Bush, and Obama. (Except for Obama, who was gracious, these are all full of bluster; and I'd say they were all strong.)

MERCURY IN GEMINI. No prior president has had Mercury in Gemini.

VENUS IN CANCER. Three prior presidents have had this: William Howard Taft, Jimmy Carter, and George W. Bush. (None of them were considered very effective presidents.)

SUN-MOON Hard Aspect. A mix of early and late figures but, in modern times, the names Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush stand out. (The others are McKinley, Jackson, and Quincy Adams.)

MOON-URANUS Hard Aspect. Only Taft had one.

VENUS-SATURN Hard Aspect. Only George Washington had the conjunction. Chester Arthur and FDR had other hard aspects. Shall we find a singular capacity for sacrifice in Trump? If so, it hasn't shown in his life thus far.

JUPITER-URANUS Soft Aspect. Some similar names to the last list: George Washington and FDR are joined by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
