Last night, around 6 PM, Associated Press released the results of their recanvassing of all Democratic superdelegates, showing that Hillary Clinton has sufficient delegates to secure the Democratic nomination. Leading news outlets jumped on this and proclaimed the "line crossing," including NY Times, LA Times, CNN, and others.

This isn't "official official" for several more weeks, but is event-worthy right now in its own right, and consistent with what we've been predicting with the Moon-Uranus emphasis of the summer and other markers.

Of course, this may lead to too many Hillary supporters not voting in today's California primary, giving extra advantage to Bernie. We'll know by tonight how it all shook out.

A car bomb killed 11 people in Istanbul yesterday, June 6, at 8:40 AM. It was the first day of Ramadan but, so far, nobody has taken credit for it (which is atypical).

The CAPSOLAR has Mars exactly on IC. It's been that kind of year!

The ARILUNAR has Pluto on EP (0°10') and Moon-Uranus (conjoined) more widely foreground: disruptive and explosive.

The CapQ has Ascendant square ingress Neptune (half a degree),but the real star is the CanQ. First, we're in the midst of Mars' transit to CanQ Moon, affecting the whole world: It was only 0°10' at the explosion time. Second, CanQ MC is conjunct s. Saturn (0°05'), triggering also the Cansolar tight Venus-Saturn square, and also conjunct that transiting Mars (1°35'). It would have been easy, had anyone been watching, to peg this as a very bad, deadly, violent day for Istanbul.

Last night, two Palestinian (Hamas) shooters let loose in a Tel Aviv marketplace, "shattering what was a serene night with chaos and bloodshed" (CNN). 13 were wounded, four died. Israel rapidly responded with a lockdown, revoking 83,000 travel passes among other steps.

I don't have a time, but it seems (from activity descriptions) that perhaps 7 PM is a reasonable estimate.

Tel Aviv is in the broad Middle Eastern zone that got the violent end of last summer's CANSOLAR, which remains the main solar ingress operative. The main lunar ingress operating is the June 1 ARILUNAR, which wraps the close Moon-Uranus conjunction around the IC and puts Pluto widely foreground.

The CapQ isn't violent - it shows more the prior tone of the night, and the emotion around the event, with transiting and ingress Venuses stretched across the horizon. The only real daily timing is universal, transiting Mars' square to CanQ Moon, which affects the whole world. Oh, and the broader period was primed by transiting Pluto square CANSOLAR Ascendant almost to the minute (0°07') for the night of the attack.

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred this morning, June 10, 2016, 8:04:38 UT (1:04:38 AM PDT) at 33N25'51", 116W26'35", near Borrego Springs, CA.

This is a small magnitude earthquake, but perhaps worthy of note because it was shallow, and likely to be felt more powerfully.

Astrological indicators were quite sharp.

The CAPSOLAR for Southern California has been harsh this year. Neptune is 0°38' from EP, Saturn 3°27' from MC. Saturn and Neptune have a 2°14' mundane square.

The CAPLUNAR has Moon sq. MC (0°22') and Uranus on IC (2°44'), emphasizing the Moon-Uranus square the whole world is getting (2°03'). Pluto is widely foreground.

The CANLUNAR is plainly disruptive. Pluto is 1°36' from IC, with Uranus and Moon more widely angular and the ecliptical Moon-Uranus square turned into a tight, foreground 0°11' mundane square.

For an adrenaline surge, CapQ MC opposes Capsolar Mars (0°02'). This is in the context of t. Saturn conjunct Capsolar MC (1°49'), t. Neptune sq. Capsolar MC (1°11'), and Saturn square Neptune 0°38'.

Yesterday was a complex wave of internal diplomacy in Washington, as Bernie Sanders met with President Obama and then Minority Leader Reid as part of a larger day of internal party diplomacy. The goal was to let him wind down his campaign on his own terms, with dignity and recognition.

Almost immediately after, Pres. Obama released his formal endorsement of Hillary Clinton (followed by endorsements by Sen. Warren and VP Biden), all acting like the starting pistol of the real race. But the tone up and down Pennsylvania Avenue and all the way out to the Naval Observatory was one of diplomacy.

Accordingly, Washington's CapQ had MC square transiting Neptune. Several other planets have been on angles in recent days, and/or are coming back soon (today is Neptune on WP, for example, and it's squared by Saturn),but the one clean hit was MC square transiting Jupiter. It set the tone for the town.

Anything showing up for the really sudden and unexpected shooting of the Voice contestant Christina Grimmie during her last concert at Orlando, Florida, which stirred mass reaction throughout social media sites?
Looking at Orlando's recent Canlunar, Mars was about a degree and a half from the EP in RA.
Orlando's Caplunar OTOH had Mars and Venus closely on the MC-IC axis respectively, possibly symbolising the attack onto women. In this case, it could be Christina herself.

TBH I didn't even know who she was before this dreadful event but my oh my her voice is so beautiful, and nobody deserves to be killed while signing autographs for one's fans!!!

Concert ended just about 10PM, and shooting occurred while she was signing autographs afterward. So about 10:20 PM, June 10, 2016, Orlando Florida. Her brother is being called a hero for jumping on the guy and keeping him from hurting anyone else. Gunman managed to shoot himself while her brother was holding him down.

Louisville, KY has been taken over, the last few days, with memorial and funeral events for its "greatest son," Muhammed Ali. One would expect this to show dramatically at least in the more recent (weekly and daily) charts concentrated on the city.

Though a solar ingress, the ARISOLAR often acts more like a lunar ingress - a shorter term chart - and, for Louisville, has Sun square MC (0°31'). Though Sun, in mundane astrology, most often represents government, especially heads of state, etc., it more broadly shows focus on cultural figureheads, cultural heroes, etc. Additionally, Mercury is rising (publicity to the town, etc.).

Elements of severity show in the Canlunar - I didn't really expect this sort of thing. Mars is just barely within 2° of WP; otherwise, the ingress would have been deemed dormant, which also makes Saturn's 4° conjunction with Descendant relevant. Saturn, of course, is appropriate for mourning, but this doesn't seem like a Mars + Saturn event. But this, even if weak, is definitely the strongest lunar ingress, since all three other ingresses are dormant.

DAILY INDICATORS are as follows.

Transits to the Capsolar are appropriate for a significant death, except that they seem to uprooting and overturning, which this event was not. Like much of the eastern part of the country, Louisville's Capsolar is dominated by Uranus-Pluto, and in this case transiting Pluto squares Capsolar Asc (0°29'), but it also tightly squares the exactly rising Uranus (0°06') - which seems not exactly wrong, but more "the wrong tone to the message."

The CapQ has ingress Neptune square Asc for the two days, which describes mobs or massings of this sort.

The murder of Christina Grimmie, about 10:20 PM, June 10, 2016, Orlando Florida.

A man got upset with his ex-girlfriend Friday outside the terminal at Love Field Dallas, her and attacked her car. Police shot him about 12:10PM June 10, 2016. (He'd previously driven from Maryland to see her, got upset and drove his car into trees on a median, and was arrested, which is why he needed to fly home. He talked the ex into driving him to the airport.

Also in Piura, Peru, June 10, 2016, about 8:50 AM, a man chased his ex into a beauty salon saying he would kill her if she didn't "get back with him." He was beaten by the women in the salon till he let go of the woman and ran before police got there.

BBC (in the link I posted) says this:
Police say Ms Grimmie was shot about 22:45 local time on Friday (02:45 GMT Saturday) at The Plaza Live in Orlando.

But neither BBC nor myself are local so I don't know.

Okay nevermind Jupiter, I've looked at it myself.
For the Caplunar, Piuna, Peru had the same symbolism while Dallas has Moon, which is related to women too. In addition (but not sure if it's relevant) it's aspected by Uranus.

Malaysia, with similar Caplunar Mars-Venus symbolism, had a British infamous paedophile finally prisoned, before the Canlunar began (the Arilunar was dormant, so there's flow-through from the Caplunar). Ugh, he even created a 60-page manual for seducing children! Disgusting.
Whoops, I guess he wasn't prisoned in Malaysia, but Malaysians did react strongly, as Malaysian children were one of his many victims.

A few minutes ago, news broke that a Federal court uphold new Obama administration net neutrality laws that have been heavily resisted by online media companies. The key finding was that, yes, Internet service providers can be treated as utilities.

This is likely to provide much greater consumer protection, and protect the Internet itself from cooption by large industry. I suspect it will open the gate to requirements that will boost U.S. internet service to a high level more resembling that of other parts of the world.

I see this as one consequence of the long Moon-Uranus stretch we're in.

For the last two days, major events have been surging to push for stronger gun control.

Leading this was Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, who was the Congressman from the district of Newtown, CT at the time of the Sandy Hook massacre. On Wednesday, he led a nearly 15-hour successful filibuster to leverage a floor vote on a gun control measure.

In an email tonight, Sen. Murphy wrote that his filibuster began June 15 at 11:21 AM.

The fires burning for several days in Santa Barbara County - especially near Gaviota - doubled in size overnight. This is a big one.

The CAPLUNAR is disruptive, destructive, tearing down structures with a Uranus-Pluto focus. I don't see any shorter term factors operating for about today.

If somebody wants to study the fire more thoroughly, it started about 3:20 PM June 15, near Goleta (right about where the 101 freeway hits Refugio Road).

Over 50 U.S. diplomats have used an internal "back channel" provided for dissent, expressing their disagreement over with U.S. policy in Syria, wanting a more aggressive, direct move to challenge the Assad government. NY Times broke the story last night at 8:41 PM EDT.

Let's be clear on what the news event is, though: It isn't extraordinary to have this kind of internal dissent. It's part of ongoing conversations that incorporate many different voices. It's slightly unusual to have so many signators. But the real story here is a disclosure story, i.e., that the internal memo is public.

I think, therefore, that this is primarily part of the ongoing Moon-Uranus threads. Additionally, since it is a strongly asserted, more bellicose idea, this is also likely an expression of three lunar ingresses in a row being Mars dominated.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and his campaign have been under investigation by the FBI for campaign fund-raising illegalities. This morning at 7:35 AM EDT, NY Times reported that three NYC police officials and a Brooklyn businessman have been arrested early today on federal corruption charges.

One never knows how far this may go, eh?

NYC's CAPSOLAR is more heated and aggressive than that for the nation, with its main feature being a tightly angular Mars, as part of a Mercury-Mars mundane square.

However, things are likely to get extremely positive for the city beginning in mid-July. The CANSOLAR has Jupiter half a degree from Descendant, and closely square Moon. We were already expecting market inflation ("unrealistic optimism") from the Jupiter-Neptune emphasis for the country as a whole, and this chart likely shows winwinwin for Wall Street for July-October; but, more generally, it likely will ease pressures on city government, though (with Neptune's involvement) keeping the edge of scandal hanging over things.

Transiting Uranus conjoins NYC's Capsolar Ascendant for these revelations.

With close Moon-Uranus aspects in every lunar ingress for months, I had called this as a breakout year for women, and this is another example of that wave.

Rome has Pluto angular (and, to a lesser extent, Uranus) in the CAPSOLAR, and the interesting feature of Venus-Mars square MC in the CAPLUNAR, plus Mars and Saturn angular in the LIBLUNAR. Was this a particularly aggressive, passionate, hard-fought, heavily-contended competition compared to the usual standard in Rome?

Well, it seems to be a new reform party. The wave started a couple of years ago (probably the Uranus-Pluto in the heavens) with a comedian forming a political party and getting people activated (similar to what happened in Reykjavík when a well known comedian became a mayor last term).

A few minutes ago, the Supreme Court, in a 4-3 vote, "rejected a challenge to race-conscious admissions in Texas" (NY Times). This case was a serious challenge to affirmative action's foundations. With the amount of Uranus and Pluto this year, I might have guessed it would go the other way - on a fully-staffed Supreme Court. But, again, the populist spirit seems alive and flourishing under this year's Moon-Uranus aspects.

Notice this 4-3 decision was without one of the liberal justices: Kagan sat this one out

The current lunar ingress for Austin is the Liblunar with Pluto rising and a Moon-Uranus opposition, similar to the new Caplunar for Washington. In Washington, the CanQ today has Jupiter at Midheaven.

June 23rd, 2016, 9:50 AM the driver of the van in the Freddy Gray case was acquitted on all charges. These were the most serious charges brought in the Gray death in Baltimore and should have been the strongest case. The MD National Guard has been put on alert.

Flooding in W. Virginia deemed once in a thousand year event by US Weather service has killed 9, including at least two children. Rain of 9 inches an hour for six to eight hours. Iconic video of a house engulfed in flames (probably broken gas lines) floating down a creek full of raging water to hang up on a bridge for a few minutes.

The Erskine Creek fire in Kern County, CA has killed at least two, probably older people unable to evacuate.

After a disappointing and disheartening defeat of Argentina against Chile in the Copa América, Lionel Messi called it quits from international football. Previously, his national team had lost three major tournament finals in a row since the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals against Germany.
Poor him, it's definitely not entirely his fault. Well at least he'll still be playing for Barcelona FC.

IIRC he announced his resignation after his game at MetLife stadium, East Rutherford, NJ, where it had Pluto 57' after setting in its Caplunar. Jim in his book SMA interprets angular Pluto as:

This morning, the Supreme Court (as expected) struck down a Texas law (5-3) that would have closed nearly all abortion clinics in Texas.

Washington's CanQ is a bit strange for this. My first impression was that it was a perfect hit: Ingress Venus, and progressed Moon and Venus, wrapped tightly around MC in a loud support of women's rights. However, complicating this is that ingress Saturn exactly squares CanQ MC (but not quite any of the other planets).

Of course, transiting Pluto continues to conjoin Capsolar MC (squaring Capsolar Uranus), and we have the Moon-Uranus dominated lunar ingresses which are surely the main key to "female freedom" and civil liberties in general.

LATER. I just remembered that today begins the Jupiter-Pluto zone for Washington, for which I wrote the following, FWIW:

Transiting Jupiter crosses Cansolar Midheaven. The least we can say is that these days are marked be intensive geopolitical power-plays and maneuverings, noteworthy even within a year filled with such things. Jupiter + Pluto marks extremes which - good or bad - challenge existing value systems, ideologies, and the political and other power systems that support them. At one extreme, this suggests ideological attacks that assault existing systems, seeking to destabilize governments, ethnicities, and economies. On the positive side, it is capable of an emergent ideology that cuts past old political limitations to empower our best. (Cynicism discourages overly high expectations of our best side in an election year.)

The House committee on Benghazi issued its final report this morning. Different outlets will run the headlines different, but the two main features seem to be (1) no finding of wrongdoing by Sec. Clinton and (2) broad criticism of general failures in a number of agencies, including the State Department and the CIA.

The Democrats on the committee issued their own minority report a week or so back, primarily saying that the whole thing had been an enormous waste of taxpayers' money amounting to a witch hunt.

We're still under the Pluto + Moon-Uranus Caplunar. We're in the Jupiter-Pluto zone, of transiting Pluto conjoining Capsolar MC and transiting Jupiter conjoining Cansolar MC. CapQ Moon just entered (overnight) 1° orb of square Capsolar Pluto. CanQ MC today is free of the Saturn of the last couple of days (reflected in the stock market's two-day drop, and then starting back up this morning), and has ingress/progressed Venus on MC.

Two explosions went off today at Istanbul's airport.

Istanbul has had a lot of this sort of thing this year. As mentioned here after the June 6 bombing the CAPSOLAR has Mars exactly on IC. "It's been that kind of year," I wrote.

Since then, the lunar ingresses have changed. The currently active LIBLUNAR has Saturn on WP squared by Neptune, though with a moderately rising Venus.

Today's CapQ has ingress Pluto on EP. The CanQ has ingress Neptune conjunct Ascendant.

8:20 AM, the Town of Panhandle, TX (near Amarillo) two trains collided. Three people unaccounted for, one injured (jumped before the trains hit.) People in Panhandle evacuated, and people nearby asked to conserve water because they're draining the supply trying to put the fire out. It's still burning.

ETA: There's no clue why both trains were on the same set of tracks at the same time.

Interesting timing of your post. I was finishing a post on this very topic (but not this event) under the current month's predictions thread.

Thanks for the time of the event. At the time of the announcement, a partile Venus-Pluto opposition graced the meridian in Washington. I also find interesting that this was under an Arilunar dominated by Moon-Uranus and Venus-Pluto, and was a specific outcome of that pair which I missed in my predictions.

So, this occurred under a CAPSOLAR dominated by Uranus-Pluto, and a CAPLUNAR dominated by angular Pluto and a Moon-Uranus square (1°01'). The ARILUNAR had a partile (0°51') Moon-Uranus conjunction square Ascendant, and a foreground Venus-Pluto opposition (0°04' in mundo).

For the day, the CapQ offered only an angular Mercury, though transits to the Capsolar still include Pluto's conjunction with Capsolar MC (which is active for much of the year). Similarly, transiting Jupiter conjoins the Cansolar MC. In the monthly forecast, I mentioned that Jupiter-Pluto combinations "challenge existing value systems, ideologies, and the political and other power systems that support them," etc.

Not a bad showing for a "shake the system" event, where the system really being shaken is a centuries-old entrenchment of culturally-dominant gender distinctions.
