Sidus 2024 SSR

This was the first SSR for which I consciously decided where I would spend it. I did my best to bring Uranus and Venus as close to the angles as possible since other options seemed less favorable. The SSR occurred in rural Japan (35N 1'50" 134E 7'43").

The Ascendant is always at 0° in PVL, but not longitude . The Ascendant has a regular (ecliptical) longitude just like the other bodies on the chart, and conjunctions to Zenith and Nadir are measured purely in longitude.

Measured how? In prime vertical longitude? When I run your chart in Janus 5 and display it in prime vertical longitude (Wheels > Alternate Coordinate Systems > Prime Vertical), Saturn is 91°04' vs. 91°05' when I use the same data in Solar Fire.

Those are obtainable from the Prime Vertical Longitude (PVL() column in the Time Matters excerpt you posted. PVL is the same as the Mundoscope positions, with Asc at 0°, IC 90°, Dsc 180°, and MC 270°. In the excerpt you posted, we find:

My advice is to keep your Venus out of the foreground. In your case, think of Venus as a malefic. Given its aspects, bringing it to an angle is sure to make heartbreak a centerpiece experience of a location, at least over time.

I don't worry about background placements in relocation. Part of "you never lose your natal" is that a planet is never less strong than it is in the birth chart.

It's not quite true that you can just pick the larger strength score of natal vs. local for each planet - natal and local angularity ...

The natal isn't like a return chart or ingress where "if it doesn't cross the line to foreground, it doesn't exist."
