I took the following 3 criteria’s from Jim’s book, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’ that has been the ONLY teaching tool I have discovered for isolating Solar Returns that have very high probability of producing ‘outstanding incidents’ in the life of a person. These 3 criteria’s never cease to amaze me as outstanding teaching points for Sidereal Astrology, associated with the Sidereal Solar Return (SSR). Cyril Fagan (the father of Sidereal Astrology) rediscovered by rigorous pursuit of historical evidence the profound astrological/astronomical truths of a SSR but for the most part-- these truths have been and continue to be ignored by the majority of the astrological community. I’ve come to believe Sidereal Astrology will only be pursued and learned by the ‘dedicated few’ who take up the serious study of astrology.
1: ANGULARITY AND PARTILE ASPECTS “…It is when angularity and aspect partiality coincide that outstanding incidents are most likely to come about.” Page 96, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’, under the heading ‘Aspect Orbs’.
When first attempting to learn and prove to myself some teaching points I considered important from Jim’s book, I took the above quote from Jim’s book and conducted an experiment. I starting asking persons within my close environment-- if they had experienced an out of ordinary/‘outstanding incident’ (event) in their life, good or bad. If they told me an out of ordinary/‘outstanding incident’ had occurred in their life, I explained I was researching a certain component of astrology that could only be proven with ‘outstanding incidents’—then asked them to eye their birth certificate for their birth time. The majority of people I asked this question told me they had not experienced any out of ordinary/‘outstanding incident’ in their lives.
Also under Jim’s topic ‘Aspect Orbs’-- which I consider to be a very important teaching point:
“Another key point is the aspect curve. For conjunctions and oppositions, this is a 4 degree orb; for squares, trines and sextiles, about 3 degrees. Aspects within this range, especially transits (for the dynamic aspects), should be eagerly attended when in the Solunar foreground. We are now encountering very serious influences.” *Foreground is 7.5 degrees on either side of an angle.
“Partile aspects (1 degree orb or less) reign supreme. According to my proposed formulae, a conjunction or opposition with a 1 degree orb is at 99% of its maximum strength. Squares, trines, and sextiles register 98% of their full clout. For almost any purpose, they can indeed be considered “exact.” Aspects at this high (partile) level of potency are apt to manifest no matter what. For anything less strong, angularity is required to lend easy expressiveness to whatever configurations are present. IT IS WHEN ANGULARITY AND ASPECT PARTILITY COINCIDE THAT OUTSTANDING INCIDENTS ARE MOST LIKELY TO COME ABOUT.” (capital lettering is mine for important emphasis pertaining to this thread).
2: PARANS:—“This is the most powerful of all configurations.” Fagan/Firebrace
A Paran occurs when ‘two or more planets are simultaneously (bodily) on the same, adjacent or opposite angles.’ Jim’s book on page 21 titled Parans offers excellent examples that fully explain their importance in Sidereal Astrology. It is rare to see an active angular Paran with a SSR but when they occur they are Dynamic in effect and produce important events.
3: SSR MOON: “This, then, isolates the Moon as the most crucial agent in a Solar Return, after the angles. Lunar aspects to natal and solar planets can never be treated lightly, even when rather wide in orb. So remarkable is this single factor that, if lunar aspects are nearly exact while the foreground planets are not exceptionally close to the angles, the solar Moon can be considered the primary theme-setter of the chart for the year ahead, bar none.” Page 64, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’.
I only discovered with my experiment and other charts of public figures, a handful of Dynamic SSR examples explained by the 3 above criteria’s from Jim’s book. I will later post these SSR examples.
I ask, as Jim has asked, for other Siderealist to post their own examples of dynamic (‘outstanding incidents’) symbolized with SSR’S.
Jim, please correct any misleading statements I may have made pertaining to your work and this topic.
Regards, Steve

An example of a dynamic SSR foretelling an ‘outstanding incident’!
Birth Data: Feb. 3rd 1982, 4:30 AM EST, Silver Springs, Maryland. Coordinates: 38N59:26, 77W01:35.
Incident occurred in Savanna, GA, May 2001. Fell through attic ceiling breaking vertebrae in her back requiring surgery to fuse her vertebrae back together. Long confinement in bed then a long and extensive rehab—but with a full recovery.
2001 SSR Relocated to Savanna Ga. features:
ASC 25LI53
MARS 29LI04
SATURN 29AI23
*note Mars is partile (orb under 1 degree) opposition Saturn in the immediate angular foreground (within 7.5 degrees of an angle) of the ASC/DES AXIS.
*also note the placement of Mars & Saturn on her Natal Chart foretelling by tight angularity (MC) the native would experience Ma/Sat symbolism at times in her life. The 2001 SSR was dead on for calling a timing epoch of Mars/Saturn symbolism in her life.
“The most dreaded of all dual transits (in a SSR) are those of the malefics, Mars, and Saturn…” Cyril Fagan—Solunars Handbook
1: ANGULARITY AND PARTILE ASPECTS “…It is when angularity and aspect partiality coincide that outstanding incidents are most likely to come about.” Page 96, Jim Eshelman, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’, under the heading ‘Aspect Orbs’.

As an addendum to the above post in this topic, it should be noted her 2001 SSR features a Moon/Jupiter conjunction from the 7th house. Jim’s book ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’ prioritizes delineating a SSR with first looking for: 1: foreground /angular influences with their aspects; 2: partile aspects which includes parans; 3: a through analysis of the Solar Moon.
Jim’s book also stresses the IMPORTANCE of Solar Moon pertaining to Health. It may first appear odd there is a Moon/Jupiter conjunction associated with a serious accident, but Jim’s book teaches the partile angular opposition of Mars/Saturn will dominate the main issues of the Solar year-- which was a serious accident. But because the Solar Moon was aspected/conjunct with Jupiter it symbolized something good pertaining to her Health. In this case she received the care of the best surgical Doctors in the country and eventually during the same Solar year made a full recovery. I have read many books on astrology that shed light on delineating factors but Jim’s book when seriously studied and learned acts as a TOURCHLIGHT for accurate prognostic analysis!
Before I offer more examples of dynamic SSR’S I think this would be an appropriate time to include a quote from the modern father of Sidereal Astrology, Cyril Fagan, under a Solunar Column titled: ‘What was their Secret’.
“By what means, then, did the ancients predict with such accuracy? Now, according to Hermes”: “The Babylonians, Persians, Indians and Egyptians, both kings and private persons, undertook nothing in any year without examining their solar revolution; and if they found the year good they set to work, otherwise they reframed. The kings examined the nativities of their generals and observed their solar revolutions, and if they found that for one of them the return indicated power and victory, they sent him against the enemy, otherwise they left him aside. And they observed the nativities not only of their generals, but of ambassadors to see if their anniversary indicated a successful result. If it signified prosperity they sent them, but if not, they appointed, instead, others whose anniversary (i.e., solar return) did presage success…”

Here is a beautiful example of dynamic SSR featuring a Jupiter-Uranus Paran. Paran’s are the most potent aspects found in astrology (very rare) and involves bodily placements of two or more planets on the angles. When found on a SSR they will dominate the main issue for the Solar year as Jim teaches in his book.
Birth data: Jan. 8th, 1948, 10:05 AM, CST, Birmingham, Al. 33N31, 86W48. Location of ‘outstanding incident’: Gulf Shores, AL. 30N14’45, 87W42’03.
Paran formation: Jupiter Rises LST 17:33:33 AT 24AQ13, ASC. 25AQ07
Uranus Culminates LST 17:34:02 AT 29SC29, MC. 28SC55
‘Outstanding Incident’: The native was broke and all of a SUDDEN, involving lengthily legal processes, he was UNEXPECTED awarded a large track of very valuable real estate. Several months before his 1987 SSR he was told by an attorney there was very little chance the judge would award him any part of this real-estate, much less all of the real-estate. The native had actually forgotten legal proceedings were still in ongoing processes when the attorney called him with the great news. Relative to his environment he became rich overnight—more money than he ever had in his life. Note the words Sudden & Unexpected-- classic keywords for Uranus manifestations! Also, note the Paran involved both the MC & ASC, associated with two of the most powerful angles—Fagan said the MC was the superior angle followed by the ASC. Another note of interest is Ebertin in his book ‘Combination of Stellar Influences’ says in the only footnoted combination of planets this about Jup/Ur:
“It is often very difficult to assess the nature of Jupiter—Uranus constellations. They indicate, in most cases, inner tensions or strains which are suddenly released. At one time the author named this constellation the “Thank the Lord’ position, because people having such a configuration have repeatedly exclaimed the words “Thank the Lord” after the release of the tension or strain from which they were suffering.”
When I question the native with details-- he said after the phone call from the attorney it was the emotional (Moon) jubilation (Jupiter) he had experienced in his entire life. Also, note Solar Moon opposing Pluto! Some Bradley words on Pluto from ‘Solar and Lunar Returns’:
“Pluto promises a lively period, for that planet may be relied upon to establish precedents dramatically bring to end eras in the life, and just as dramatically draw back the curtain on the new. Pluto effects are swift, sensation-creating, and record—breaking. It denotes “firsts” in the life...Pluto also is prominent with regards to “miracles”…
This example covers all 3 of Jim’s criteria’s defined at the beginning of this thread-- for producing a dynamic Solar Return foretelling an ‘outstanding incident’!

[Chart did not copy. DS]by SteveS on Wed Dec 10, 2008 5:07 pm
The following example of a Dynamic SSR is the most amazing chart I have ever analyzed and exemplifies all of Jim’s 3 criteria’s headlining this topic. If anyone has the April and June 1999 issues of American Astrology there are two articles that offer further discussions pertaining to the following example of an ‘outstanding incident’ foreseen by a Dynamic SSR. Both of the astrologers who wrote these articles could not have written them if it was not for Jim’s book, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’. The following Chart example is Bill Clinton’s 1998 SSR involving the ‘outstanding incident’ with the scandalous impeachment proceedings. Clinton’s birth time is rated AAA.
*The inner wheel is Clinton’s 98 SSR. The outer wheel is Clinton’s Natal Chart Placements. If this chart does not appear in full size on your screen—left click in an open space on the chart and it will enlarge.
Using Jim’s 3 criteria’s, with a simple glance of the eye, an astrologer is immediately alerted to a Dynamic SSR foreseeing an ‘outstanding incident’. Not only is Clinton’s Solar Moon—Mars—Neptune in partile aspects in the foreground (7.5 degrees of an angle), they are placed in partile aspects ON the ASC/DSC axis. Another very important distinguishing sidereal tool is a Paran aspect of SSR Mars opposing SSR Neptune. SSR Neptune is rising with a local sidereal time of (L.S.T.) of 15:16:15 and SSR Mars is setting with a L.S.T. of 15:20:17. A potential or active Paran is defined by clock time when the time is within 8 minutes—or a two degree orb or less involving the angles. Also, Clinton’s SSR Moon is in Paran opposition to SSR Neptune. By Sidereal Astrology technique standards, explained in Jim’s book ‘Interpreting Solar Returns, Clinton’s 98 SSR is a rare Return and is laced with potent nasty aspects forewarning the sidereal astrologer of a forthcoming ‘outstanding incident’ involving the President of our country.
Please take note of Clinton’s Natal Moon and Natal Saturn on the angles (IC/DES) of his 98 SSR. In Jim’s book, he explains how important it is after analyzing a SSR, to take the Natal Chart looking for ANGULAR NATAL FEATURES that fall on the ANGLES of a SSR. Jim explains when Natal planets fall on the angles of a SSR, in many cases it will explain how the native will psychologically REACT to the important aspects of their SSR. In Clinton’s Natal Chart there is a potential Paran formation of a setting Saturn with a L.S.T of 15:13:45 and an IC Natal Moon with a L.S.T of 15:14:05. Clinton’s potential natal Paran becomes ACTIVE by falling on his 98 SSR angles. So—how will Clinton react to the DYNAMICS influences of his 98 SSR? ‘Bradley states from his book ‘Solar and Lunar Returns’ when Moon/Saturn Symbolism is ANGULAR:
“…these denote setbacks, losses, sorrows, and blows to the natives pride which give rise to regrets and grief…”
Fagan emphasized the mundoscope which factored in certain astronomical math that gave the only true mundane positions of a planet involving the angles of a scope. In other words Fagan stressed the importance when a planet was actually placed bodily on an angle. All scopes, except a selected mundoscope, generated by a computer program, in most cases, will not show the TURE placement of a planet in relationship to the angles of a scope. Take note of Clinton’s Natal Saturn in relationship to Clinton’s 98 SSR Descendant. The scope shows Saturn 3+ degrees above the 98 SSR Descendant. But when you factor in the actual astronomy that occurred with Clinton’s birth his Natal Saturn is dead on his 98 SSR Descendant. In fact, Clinton’s transiting SSR Neptune is in partile Paran opposition to his Natal Saturn. This becomes very interesting when we read Bradley’s words from ‘Solar and Lunar Returns’ pertaining to Saturn/Neptune symbolism when falling on the angles of a chart—not only did this aspect fall partile on the angles—it was in PARAN formation!
“Saturn--Neptune: A real throne-toppler, this. Among its paramount keywords is “removal,” for Saturn-Neptune surely takes first prize for forcing resignations…firings from jobs…”
So—the Country and the World was presented a somewhat sad but comical STAGE PLAY (‘outstanding incident’) about a President that was brought up for partisan impeachment hearings because he lied about getting a BJ in the White House. Shakespeare must have rolled in his grave!

Excellent example! (Somehow I'd never gotten around to looking at that particular chart.) - Perhaps the closeness of everything mundanely will be dramatized well by the following, which is the mundoscope of that SSR.
Image
Notice that the Moon, which appears above the horizon by pure zodiac measurement, is actually a couple of degrees below the horizon. The Mars-Neptune is exceedingly exact in mundo, and partile to the horizon. The Mercury + Venus-Uranus add-in is particularly telling when you consider the motivating events of the impeachment.

“But when Neptune is active, it is with great difficulty that one comes across the truth, for Neptune is the king of prevarication. When transits of the malefics are made to the natal Neptune, the native may find himself exposed and humiliated, much to his confusion.” Cyril Fagan, ‘Astrological Origins’.
In the above case with Clinton’s 98 SSR, Fagan’s quoted words are pretty much dead on for Clinton’s 98 SSR experience. Even though Clinton was under a SSR mundo opposition of transiting Neptune to his Natal Saturn, instead of transiting Saturn to his Natal Neptune, the above symbolism of Fagan’s words is dead on! Clinton tried to get away with a ‘prevarication’ but was later ‘exposed and humiliated’.
I have read many books about the delineating meanings of transits associated with Solunars and have yet to find any better delineations offered by the fathers/colleagues of Sidereal Astrology.

The following is part of a post on another Forum:
“I chose the chart of the king of France, Louis XVI, who was guillotined during the French Revolution. As per Astrodatabank, he was born on August 23, 1754, in Versailles 48N48 2E08, at 6:26 AM LMT, with the official record of 6:24 AM.
His biography in Wikipedia gives a fair idea of his character. Physically, he was strong and healthy. Although Astrodatabank says he was mentally dull, Wikipedia states he was good in his studies as a boy and that later nobody doubted that he was capable of governing France. But he was indecisive and too conservative. He could not make the reforms which were urgently needed at the time. He was shy and reserved. He liked hunting and his particular hobby was working on locks. He enjoyed manual activities. A detail of his biography which does not appear on Wikipedia is that he had some defect in his sex organs. For years, he could not have normal sexual intercourse with his wife, Marie-Antoinette whom he loved and desired. He probably had to have a small operation. He was married on may 16th 1770. His first child was born in December 1778. He became king on the death of his grand-father, on May 10th, 1774. He was arrested on August 10th, 1792 and guillotined on January 21st, 1793 at 10:20 AM LMT”.
When we look at King Louis XV1 Natal Chart we note some classic symbolism for a King. We see a partile conjunction of Sun-Jupiter in the Royal constellation of Leo. Also Leo is rising. Fagan states: “the raga-yoga par excellence of kingship is configurations of Sun-Jupiter”. Combine this ‘raja-yoga’ of Sun-Jupiter in the constellation Leo and we have potent symbolism of Royalty.
But what I find most interesting is the post discussing ‘some defect in his sex organs preventing normal sexual intercourse’.
Note the direct midpoint of Moon/Neptune=Mars. Ebertin’s COSI states pertaining to this midpoint: “weakened natural powers in relation to sex-life”.
Also, note partile Natal Pluto ecliptically on the IC with a tight 90 to Natal Uranus. Again quoting Ebertin’s COSI under the Principle of Uranus-Pluto aspects: “Revolution”.
It gets more interesting when we look (included in this post) King Louis 1792 SSR. Note SSR Moon partile 180 SSR Saturn. Also, SSR Mars/Neptune=SSR Moon & SSR Saturn. SSR Jupiter is also in the above configurations with the SSR—I can only guess Jup. symbolizing the bigness of the event with King Louis being guillotined during his 1792 Solar year.
Here again we see how important aspects to the SSR Moon is in a SSR. Jim states in his book ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’: “This, then, isolates the Moon as the most crucial agent in a Solar Return, after the angles. Lunar aspects to natal and solar planets can never be treated lightly, even when rather wide in orb. So remarkable is this single factor that, if lunar aspects are nearly exact while the foreground planets are not exceptionally close to the angles, the solar Moon can be considered the primary theme-setter of the chart for the year ahead, bar none”.

I don't find the SSR for Louix XVI's beheading very persuasive. True, there's a heavily afflicted Moon, but the Venus and the sun are angular, and that would seem to indicate a fairly pleasant year. I suppose Pluto square Vertex (or Pluto/Uranus = Vx, with a dicey orb) could suggest a revolution impacting him in a particularly personal way.
I guess the question for me is, how do you look at this chart with a badly bruised moon, happy angles, and vaguely ominous Pluto, take it all in, and conclude, well, looks like the king's in for a beheading?

I have to agree. This is, at the very best, a mixed-results chart.
Yes, the Moon aspects are striking, and have to be given as much importance in a SSR as an angular planet. Moon partile opposite Saturn, and caught halfway between Mars and Neptune, kinda sucks.
But the natal planets foreground are Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter, plus Venus on the Nadir if the birth is even a couple of minutes off. This would make sense if the Sun-Mercury-Jupiter were prominent yet seriously afflicted - that is, an assault to his throne. But it isn't. Transiting Venus is foreground (and right on the natal Eastpoint). The natal cluster isn't under siege at all. Transiting Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto are quite background.
I do think the explanation is in the Moon aspects - this is the kind of "mixed sort of year" one encounters in real life rather than in "perfect example exposition." As I mentioned in the book, a year is an awfully long time not to expect mixed phenomena, so this likely all fit.
One thing not immediately obvious from the zodiacal form of this chart: Louis' natal Pluto set when the Descendant was 5 Sagittarius. Therefore, we need to add it to the mix. Still, it isn't the closest of the foreground planets.
Something that helps - that points our attention to what was most important to the SSR at the time of his death - is that the progressed solar Moon (SQ rate) was 15 Libra 01, still conjunct SSR Mars (and, even closer, SQ Mars at 14 Lib 25), and also square natal Neptune. And, at the time of his death, SQ Eastpoint was 14 Libra 42, bringing the whole SQ Moon to Mars to natal Neptune exactly to the angle!

I totally agree Jim. I failed to see this angular hit. This was indeed the telling angular symbolism for the SQ day of his execution. This serves as a very good example for your teachings pertaining to the importance of auxiliary angles.Jim wrote:

Fagan wrote in one of his Solunar columns: "Transiting Mars/natal Neptune: There can be no more violently devastating transit...it is frequently in evidence at the time of torture, executions, and the like."

Of all the Solar Returns I have analyzed, the following Solar Return embodies the most of Jim’s technical/teaching principles in his book ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’.
The following link http://www.freeconsiderations.com/ has an article by Ken Gillman about an Irish Sweepstakes winner of $120,000, on Oct. 3rd 1970. This article can be read in Volume 5, #3, page 16, titled Chart 6, Lucky Male Sweepstakes Winner. Birth data: June 12th 1952, 1:23 PM PDT, Santa Monica, Ca. Ken’s article uses the tropical zodiac. Ken asks the reader the most important question for this Sweepstake winner of $120,000.
“Could the Astrologer Predicted the nature of this event?”
My answer to Ken’s above question is: Only if the astrologer understood the technical/teaching principles in Jim’s book, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’.
Ken offers his astrological observations for this event but his observations are basically void of hard core Jupiter (Greater Fortune, Luck) symbolism. However, the student of Jim’s teachings from his book, ‘Interpreting Solar Returns’, clearly sees the hard core Jupiter Symbolism with the lucky male’s 1970 Solar Return. Solar Jupiter is partile conjunct the Solar Return Vertex (Vx abbreviation for Solar Fire users) partile square Solar Return Venus! Jim’s teachings clearly teach that this Solar Return symbolizes there was going to be an ‘accentuated’ Jupiter-Venus theme within this native’s 1970 Solar Year! Again quoting from Jim’s book:
“AUXILIARY ANGLES: There is one type of exception to the general angularity curve. Aside from the horizon and meridian there are other sensitive points in an astrological map which can accentuate a planet posited there as though the planet were in the immediate foreground.”
One of these ‘sensitive points’ discussed in Jim’s writings with the “Auxiliary Angles” is the Vertex. Jim states the following about the Vertex:
“I do not consider the Vertex an angle so much as an important “sensitive point.” Planets conjunct, opposite, or square the Vertex are highly accented…” “…I allow a 2-3 0rb for these (auxiliary) angles…”
As we can clearly see with the native’s 1970 Solar Return, Jupiter the greater benefic and Venus the lesser benefic are respectively partile conjunct and partile square the Solar Return Vertex. Again quoting passages from Jim’s book:
“Another key point is the 80% mark on the aspect curve. For conjunctions and oppositions, this is a 4 degree orb; for squares, trines and sextiles, about 3 degrees. Aspects within this range, especially transits (for the dynamic aspects (0,90,180), should be eagerly attended when in the Solunar foreground. We are now encountering very serious influences.
Partile aspects (1 degree or less) reign supreme. According to my proposed formulae, a conjunction or opposition with a 1 degree orb is at 99% of its maximum strength. Squares, trines, and sextiles, register 98% of their full clout. For almost any purpose, they can indeed be considered “exact.” Aspects at this high (partile) level of potency are apt to manifest no matter what. For anything less strong, angularity is required to lend easy expressiveness to whatever configuration are present. It is when angularity and aspect partility coincide that outstanding incidents are most likely to come about.”
Even though the partile 90 aspect between Solar Jupiter and Solar Venus is not involved angularly, it is involved with the ‘sensitive point’ –Vertex—which obviously strongly colored this Solar Return with an ‘outstanding incident’ of winning a 120 K Sweepstakes. Of course no astrologer could have predicted a large Sweepstake winner but the astrologer following Jim’s Solar Return guidelines would have been alerted to a very strong Jupiter-Venus nature of this Solar Return and could have foretold of very fortunate happenings for the Solar Year. This is the first Solar Return I have ever seen which highlighted a partile planetary aspect aspected partile with the Solar Vertex. I bet statistically, an astrologer could review hundreds if not thousands of Solar Returns and never see partile aspects between two planets falling partile aspect to the Vertex.
Ken Gillman mentions in his ‘Consideration’s article when he states:
“Pluto is also very much the planetary source of wealth.”
Ken notes t. Pluto is close to the natives Ascendant. I concur with Ken with my personal experiences with astrological charts-- Pluto is indeed a potent symbolic effect for wealth, relative to one’s environment. Pluto symbolic effects when prominently aspected or angular, for ‘weal or woe’ depending on other planetary aspects produces ‘inexplicable phenomena’! Prominent Pluto symbolism produces effects which are “swift, sensation-creating, and record—breaking and denotes firsts in the life of the life.” (Donald Bradley quoted words).
It is also very interesting to note the Solar Moon aspects with this Solar Return. It is widely conjunct Solar Pluto and tightly conjunct Solar Uranus, the ‘thrill planet.’ Jim’s book teaches the importance of Solar Moon and its aspects in a Solar Return and with natal aspects even when the aspects may be wide in orb. The midpoint of Solar Uranus/Pluto fell partile conjunct the Native’s Ascendant and Eastpoint, with Pluto moving closer to the native’s natal ascendant by the day of the event. We can clearly see the powerful (Pluto) thrilling (Uranus) effects of this symbolism for winning 120K.
There is one more important aspect in this Solar Return with the tight angular Mercury-Neptune opposition on the Ascendant-Descendant relationship axis. This aspect could have manifested itself in a matrix of effects but I would bet it manifested itself along the lines of Ebertin’s delineation where he states with Me/Nep/Asc. symbolism:
“The tendency to open oneself to the influences coming from other people, the state of being exploited, deceived or harmed by others.”
With this much money suddenly (Solar Moon-Uranus) coming into the native’s environment, I am betting with Neptune in Scorpio in the immediate foreground of the 7th cusp, he encountered other people trying to deceive him in giving them some of this large sum of money.

I present Louis XVIs precession corrected Solar Return with his progressed natal horoscope around it which does show that he might have reason to be concerned about the coming year. The midpoint of his progressed Saturn and Pluto is almost exactly on the descendent of the solar return, a severe affliction to the return Sun and Venus on the IC. Given that the Sun is the same as the natal Sun this can be viewed as a Saturn-Pluto-Sun paran. Put the three together in any combination you like and read Ebertin's description for each. The solar return Zenith is 4°27', Louis' progressed Moon-Mars midpoint at 274°49' is square. Choosing the progressed planets over the natals is one of the things I discovered in my work with the progressed lunar return technique
