Has anyone hacked or modified a version of Solar Fire to be ported for Mac?
...and if not what would be a good MacOSX compatible alternative to Solar Fire?

Re: Solar Fire port for MacOSX
A lot of people run an Windows emulator on a Mac to run Solar Fire.
Honestly, the best option I've found on my Macs is to use astro.com's charting services. It's not perfect and you can't do mundoscopes, but there are work-arounds for a lot of other stuff. Setting up a registered user account is worth it. It lets you save the data to set up the chart and your settings. If you need help picking out which settings to use, just ask.

I do not have a copy of Windows to install on my Mac...and the info on that page shows Solar Fire will not run on Wine so its probably would not be a simple code conversion. Does this astro.com display Sidereal charts?

Re: Solar Fire port for MacOSX
Someone referred me to the extended chart section on astro.com for Sidereal.
Thank you both for the advice.

I personally love iPhemeris for iPhone. I use it in all circumstances in which I don't have direct access to Solar Fire, which lives on my desktop computer.
From what I've seen, it's the most powerful mobile app out there (and it certainly blows Kairon out of the water IMO). It's really quite remarkable, and costs something like $10.
You may want to store your chart data somewhere else as a backup - one update that they did wiped out my stored charts, but to be honest, for the cost and power of the app, I'm willing to risk it again (particularly if the raw data does exist somewhere else too).
