Kay Cavender

Post by Gary Noel »

Does anyone know how to contact Kay Cavender? In 1998 she was organizing a sidereal astrology archive documenting the contributions of any Sidereal writing. If anyone has access to Arthur Blackwell’s retort to Colin James III, it would probably be her.

I have that Sidereal .pdf file sent to me by Kay about 8 years ago
and would be happy to make it available to any Sidereal enthusiast.
It's chock full of many Sidereal articles from well known Sidereal Astrologers.
Unfortunately I don't have her e-mail address anymore.
Could make it available for for all on this site if Jim is interested?
If so, how to post it or where to e-mail it?

Cheers! Mike

If it doesn't violate anyone's rights, we can host it here.

If you have cloud storage that let's you publically share a link, you could publish a link to it either as a permanent solution or to allow me time to extract it.

Just sent Kay an e-mail from an old address I had when Matthew & I were communicating with her. Will forward her e-mail if I hear from her. Would love for her to join forum, if still with us.

edit/update: Kay's old address no longer valid.

Steve, do you have either a state of residence or an age for her? (Both, preferably.) I have access to some people-tracking data bases.

Kay's Natal:

Jim, going by memory, when I was communicating with her, she lived with her long time dear husband somewhere in the mountain regions of California. I will try to locate all my e-mails with Kay, but that was with 2-3 computers ago. Also, going by my memory, I think she said she was the last person to communicate with Cyril Fagan before he passed away, but you may know better.

No, I really don't. Mostly I know her name from ROSA days and an occasional mention, never knew her personally, etc.

In California, I can find several Kay Cavenders. An age would help narrow it, or a middle initial. Or her husband's name.

With various California addresses, I have ages 45, 58, 69, 72, 75, and some with no age given. Plus others who once lived in California and no longer do, at ages 54, 60, 62, 65, 68, 69, 84. I assume we can rule out any of these under mid-60s?

Mike, I would appreciate you PM me Kay's .pdf file. I thought I had this file in my computer, but must have been lost with my transition from old computers to my present computer. Thanks, Steve

If my memory serves me well, she lives or did live in a rural area outside Redding, CA.

Sorry, Mie, I didn't post back here. I get a brief message from her to the site administrator's address saying she had no Blackwell material.

Created "DropBox" send me a link to share with you.
It's a Sidereal.zip file with various Sidereal articles from, Fagan, Allen and Kay as well as a few other
astrologers. She's a big proponent of QUINDECIMUS ORB-ASPECTS i.e. 15 degree aspects( 30. 45. 135 degs, etc)
I never used them as Major Aspects do the trick for me. Kay could send you the Sidereal zip file if you prefer?

Using the clues provided on Solunars.com I located Kay Cavender. She sent me an email and told me she doesn’t have the article I was looking for. She referred me to Astrolearn.com and said Bert Fannin might have some information.

Staragewiz, I got the file and downloaded it. But what format are the files? They have no file endings - are they all text files? (I haven't started digging through them yet as there are 56 files and I'd like to know where I'm going before I start.)

Thanks.

It turns out I already had this file but didn't remember it. Yes, Mr. E. They are text files and can be opened with Notepad.

Sigh. It's going to take a while to rename them all. I'll try to get to it this week, but it's not a week for doing anything extra.

Thanks, Derek.

I'm not going to be able to do anything with these for a week or more unless it is efficient enough for me to click on the file to open it. When I get time to rename them all, I'll come back and see what's in them and figure out how I'm going to post them. (Probably start a thread and paste one file per post down the thread. It won't do much good to post the file.

I'll figure it out - but with ten projects including a building power-down to manage between now and early next week, it will all have to wait until then.
