I've got a rudimentary grasp on Solar Fire thanks to Jim's pdfs and the help of various members on this forum.
Although, I'm still not sure how to calculate the Natal Transit to the particular day of the CapSolar Quotidian.
I have both charts calculated (Natal & CapSolar Q), but I'm not sure how to compare the 2 charts together as a transit.
Any advice? Thanks

To do a comparison - where it lists the contacts for you - then you just have to calculate two charts and use the synastry tool. Or you can use Dynamic > Transits & Progressions to run a custom report.
For a specific day, I just do it visually by popping up a three-wheeler (get my custom three-wheel to get the rings right). With progressions set at Quotidian, it's just a matter of click on the calculated Capsolar and hit Dynamic > Animate Triwheel.

Look at the menu bar with icons on the main screen that opens when you open Solar Fire. There should be a few icons that look like little tv screens or monitors. One may have an eye on screen. Others should have chart wheels with numbers superimposed. Choose the one that that has the number 2. It will pop up an option for you to pick a chart for the inner circle (I'd choose the natal) and then for the outer wheel (choose the quotidian.)
I may have misunderstood what you're looking for, but if what Jim said doesn't work for you (I can't figure out the animate stuff. It's just weird to me) this might.

I have the Triwheel, but I'm not that great at eye balling aspects yet. I'll have to play around with the animate feature as I'm sure I'll need it to look for future dates with the specific aspects I'm interested in.Jim Eshelman wrote: Mon Mar 26, 2018 11:26 am To do a comparison - where it lists the contacts for you - then you just have to calculate two charts and use the synastry tool. Pretty straight forward thanks.Jupiter Sets at Dawn wrote: Mon Mar 26, 2018 12:53 pm Look at the menu bar with icons on the main screen that opens when you open Solar Fire. Is it accurate to select Interps > Synastry Report and select the 1st chart as the Natal and the 2nd chart as the CapQ?
I like to generate the reports so it lists the aspects.

Interps? It sounds like you want an aspectarian, right? You want "View a Synastry Grid," which is a taskbar button with a big 2 in it. You can then pick which orbs set to use by right-clicking on the grid and walking through the menus.

Re: SF Natal Transit CapSolar Quotidian?
Nope. I wouldn't use the Interps reports that come with Solar Fire for the most part because they're written by tropical astrolgers and include all kinds of odd and wierd stuff. Synastry wouldn't be the right report anyway because it's about relationships between people, not transits or progressions to natals. Is it accurate to select Interps > Synastry Report and select the 1st chart as the Natal and the 2nd chart as the CapQ?
I like to generate the reports so it lists the aspects.
Go to REPORTS and choose Sorted aspects from the list on the right side of the reports box. I think the resulting report still says synastry, but it's just a list of aspects between the two charts sorted by orb. Then you can look up the aspects on this site, and/or get a copy of Ebertine's The Combination of Stellar Influences.

Oh, and in this case it doesn't matter which chart you choose as the inner one.

Thanks. I have been going to Interps (top menu bar) > Full Report for my charts, but now I realize I should have been going to Reports (view chart side bar) > Sorted Aspects
