Request for Utiseta's natal chart and insights

Post by Utiseta »

Hello all! I am interested in seeing what insights can be gleaned from this system in comparison to the most commonly used astrological system.

Welcome to Solunars, Dustin.

Here is a short summary of the main features of your chart. This isn't a full interpretation, but the more important components that, together, would form a balanced interpretation. I recommend you look at the longer interpretive discussions in the Natal Astrology sub-forums on constellation interpretations, angular planets, and aspects.

Here is the start:

ANGULAR PLANETS
Angular Venus (Asc 0°08')
Charming, attractive, popular. Friendly, amiable, gracious. Kind, considerate, benevolent. Flirtatious, affectionate (sexually more receptive than aggressive). Loving, care-taking, mothering. Drawn to beauty, pleasure, peace, tranquility (not pain, violence, turbulence); averse to cruelty & harm. Needs to experience pleasure & beauty; requires harmony & ease (reduced stress & friction). Stubborn & fierce toward injustice (personal or social).

Moon sextile Venus (1°14')
Attractive, charming, affectionate, sexual charisma, sensual. Passive-dependent, moody, can be blindsided by strong feelings, often preoccupied with whether they are liked.

Angular Sun (Asc 8°33'), Angular Neptune (MC 9°04')
Sun square Neptune (4°09')

Self-view is unrealistic or disproportionate (excessively poor or grand). Nurtures an air of secrecy or mystery. Love of drama, music, fantasy, mysticism, general surrealism. Active imaginations. Potential to move and inspire others if you acquire focus & perseverance. Sensitive to ambient physical & emotional impressions; exaggerates the “feeling tone” of a time & place.

MOON in CANCER
Strongly driven by feelings (close to surface, comfortably expressed; sometimes overwhelm). When feeling safe: tender, gentle, humane, openly sensitive; otherwise moody, cocky arrogance. Expressive actor, yet treasures privacy. Magnetic, draws affection, warm, generous, hospitable. Sympathetic listening; trusted. Exudes optimism, confidence. Better serving than leading. Thrives within imagination & fantasy.

Moon sesqui-square Sun (1°13')
Dynamic, vitality. An attitude biased toward success. Intense desire in whatever they undertake. Sexual desires particularly strong, often narcissistic. Vanity, self-exaltation.

SUN in PISCES
Drawn to the foreign, exotic, wondrous, theatrical, mysterious, glamorous. Wanderlust. Drama, acting, music. Eros vs. moralism. Socially charming. Visionary, romantic, dreamer. Seeks idealistic relationships. Hardened personal reality, stuck patterns. Slavery-bondage. Fickle allegiance, betrayal.

MARS in SAGITTARIUS
Idealist (not necessarily pragmatic). Serious about subjects of interest: sincere, devoted, studious (seems hardworking; it’s really love or zeal). Passionate with beliefs; moral courage; persuasive. Innovative, ambitious, strategic. Thrives in classic styles. Many exude air of mystery or fantasy (branding?). Many are identified with ideologies, -ists, & -isms.

Mars conjunct Uranus (4°44')
Individualist. Bold, distinctive characters. Brutally honest, takes risks, challenges accepted ideas (actions may challenge the world to try to stop them). Often into something new (often offbeat). Resourceful (quick astute assessment of situations), shows initiative. Sexually uninhibited, enthusiastic. Trusts own instincts more than outside advice.

MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Unconventional clever mind unfettered by formality & standard practice. Idealist, futurist, needs intellectual freedom. Objective, less personal thinking. Doesn’t mince words (words come easily). Varied interests (well-rounded breadth or dissipation). Musical.

Mercury square Uranus (1°28')
Independent thinker. Curiosity and investigative spirit in most things. Mind unfettered by formality and standards, solves problems and integrates data more intuitively. Rejects linearity, lacks rigor in learning. Many interests, diverse, often unusual (including astrology or occultism). Speech engages others’ attention, usually has something interesting to say; challenges convention or authority, dares to speak despite consequences. Gentle rebellious behavior (“bad boy/girl”) seems rooted in, “Don’t tell me how to think.” Socially odd, but not ostracized for it.

Mercury sesqui-square Pluto (0°59')
Thinking is individual, unusual, outlier. Investigative (origins & causes), thinks deeply about things. Mind may ride the edge of normalcy (may slip off): enthusiasm, excitability, possible burnout. Impatient (irritable, easily frustrated). Instinct for abstractions.

VENUS in PISCES
Fantasy relationships. Tender, vulnerable, exploring mystery of another. Wants “true friend” who won’t betray. Charmers, weave endearing image (tend to get their way). Seducible, easily enticed, suggestible. Fond of strong erotic imagery & sensory stimuli. Passions easily aroused, torrential. Mystic; God connection. Receptive to beauty; artistic interests. Can be unreasoning, led by instinct (a few are plain crazy).

Venus was rising at the time of my birth, so this placement makes sense. I wouldn't say that I am especially attractive or charming, but there are some things here that are pretty accurate. The tendency towards caring for others being the standout. My friendships are almost exclusively female, so I wouldn't be surprised if this placement in a Male's chart might suggest such. As for the others under this section, there are quite a few things that ring true.

The Moon in Cancer placement and aspect is kind of odd. Some things ring true. Others are way off. Sun in Pisces makes a hell of a lot more sense than Sun in Aries. Much of this seems to have already been covered in the section on Angular Venus and Angular Neptune, so I won't repeat myself.

Mars in Sagittarius and Mars conjunct Uranus: The former has some interesting points, but the latter explains a lot. I am very quirky and blunt. I would rather tell a person the truth even if it hurts, than lie to save face. As far as identifying with -isms goes, it's somewhat accurate. I spend much of my time reading and researching. I don't have a very strong belief system, or system of ideals, but I am drawn to them by curiosity.

The Mercury in Aquarius and aspects are dead-on. I have varied interests, but often fail to finish things I start once a new idea or area of interest is sparked. I think a good keyword here is scatterbrained. One other thing worth note is the investigative tendencies, and the tendency for the mind to ride the edge of normalcy. I am curious about some "odd" things. This can get me into some murky waters, as I have the tendency to immerse myself into an area of interest (occultism being the one thing that constantly backfires) and then drop it and renounce it as boloney.

Again, my apologies for the late reply. Oddly enough, I had completely forgotten that I had made a posting on here. I have been studying Ceremonial Magick for the past few years, and recently started working with zodiacal material.

Welcome back and thanks for the feedback.

Perhaps the two-year delay brought you back at a time that this information will be more useful to you. Transiting Uranus is exactly opposite your Pluto this week, which is a time of significant internal and external changes - at the center of (roughly) a year that can shift your life significantly.

I'm curious what fits and what seems off about Moon in Cancer. BTW, in the intervening two years the Moon in Cancer interpretation has been studied afresh with a full interpretation here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=34#p145

Its summary has changed a little:
IMAGERY, FEELING, EXPRESSION. Feelings close to surface, comfortably expressed (sometimes overwhelm). When safe: tender, openly sensitive; otherwise cocky arrogance, moody. Generous, hospitable, loves easily, draws affection. Sympathetic listener (trusted). Exudes optimism, outward confidence. Thrives within imagination. Expressive actor (treasures privacy). Conscientious shepherd.

Thanks, sir. It's strange that you mention the transiting Uranus-Pluto. Has this been occuring for a long time, or is it just this week? I know that getting out of an abusive relationship (not so much of a surprise there, I'd imagine) and forming a wonderful friendship has done quite a lot to lift my spirits.

The revised summary is much closer. Especially with the detail regarding being a sympathetic listener. There are times where a stranger will approach me and just unload their troubles. It's very strange, as I more or less keep to myself if I am around strangers. If I am around people I know well, I am the exact opposite. So, that fits. In regards to sexual relationships, I seem to attract narcissistic partners. I wouldn't say that I exude sexual charisma. Strong feelings catch me off guard quite a lot. In fact, I would dare say that I like verbal confrontation. I like to flex my vocabulary and show people that I can think. Then again, that seems to be the Mercury-Uranus, Mars-Uranus, and Sun-Mars placements. To sum up, I have reservations regarding the Lunar influences, because I tend to distrust my feelings, and since I was in a very bad relationship, I have noticed that I have been very guarded and not opening up when I should be and keeping things in balance and perspective.

Perhaps you're right. There's definitely much to learn here.

Uranus first entered 1° orb of your Pluto in July 2019 and will finally leave in March 2021. In between, it swings in and out of orb, with exact oppositions May 9 and December 5 of this year and February 22, 2021.

Thanks again for the feedback and candor. - On the charisma matter, given not just the Cancer Moon but also the rising Venus (which closely trines Moon), you may exude more than you think. - Yes, bad (abusive) relationships make trust difficult: I'm glad to hear you've gotten out of it.

That makes sense. I'm not going to completely chalk it up to date or whatever, but this period of time has been one of various change and adaptation. It's healthy to have some sense of skepticism, right?

My pleasure! In some ways, being candid and reflective helps to make sense of things. Yes, it does make things difficult, but the best part is that I don't have to carry that psychological baggage. It's a shame that this particular brand of astrology isn't more well known.
