Making sense of my horoscope (Alex23)

Post by Alex23 »

Hi all,

After a friend of mine told me that I could better understand my character with astrology I decided to visit this forum. The only thing my friend told me is that the reason why I am introverted is because I have a 'weak sun' (the sun being in the 12th House, but I do not know what this means).
So, could someone please help me to make sense of my chart? (I am not sure how reliable the various free online website are).

I was born in Alessandria (Italy) the 23rd of August of 1994 at 7.50 AM.

Currently, I am a physics student and I have a passion for music (classical, jazz- I play the piano).

Thank you.

Your Sun isn't all that weak. It's in its own constellation, Leo, and not all that far from the angles. (It's neither unusually strong nor unusually weak). Yes, your Sun is in the 12th house, which may or may not contribute something to this.

If you are introverted, I think (to be a little blunt) that it's that you just don't like other people all that much. For example, you have a Mercury-Saturn opposition right across your horizon. The strong Saturn, in particular, often is withdrawn and has much of its psyche caught up in protection, survival, work, and serious things. Your mind is quite curious and perhaps interested in quite a range of topics, but you aren't very playful. That very strong Mercury-Saturn combination would be quite right for your current study in physics (and your Mars in Gemini is the mark of a natural scientist), and your chart has enough flair and drama that I'm not surprised at your passion for music performance.

So... a Mercury-Saturn dominance is going to be more introverted, just a little pessimistic (perhaps I should say "careful").

I'll post your chart here shortly, and I'll give a few notes to help you start to understand some of its components.

ANGULAR PLANETS
Angular Saturn
Needs to be self-reliant, self-sufficient, autonomous, independent (maturing is a process of securing these). Works hard, industrious. Survival instinct is strong & drives much of the behavior. Hardship likely (especially in youth); struggle for security; life’s demands seem severe (some are beaten down; some gain great strength & endurance). Cautious, emotionally reserved, self-protective, conscientious, methodical, austere (may shut others out emotionally).

Angular Mercury
Alert, attentive, observant, strategic, analytic. Mentally sharp, hard to fool (knows more about you than you think). Little emotional affect, hard to read. Nervous. Easily bored without regular mental stimulation. Good at precise, detailed work; naturals at handling business. Curiosity drives sexual choices as much as any other factor.

Mercury opposite Saturn
Organizes and formats information in orderly arrangements. (Often blazingly quick thinkers once the framework is established.) Methodical, logical, often routinized thinking processes. Skeptical, scrutinizing (distrustful). Obstinate in the absence of new evidence. Hesitant until oriented, then decisive, e.g., learning starts slowly, then catch up quickly. Gifted with considerable mental power, but easily discouraged (doubting). Treats life seriously. Needs to learn how to play.

MOON in Aquarius
Instinct for interconnection of things. Breadth (or diverse interests) as sources of genius. Intellectually rebellious, curious, investigative, futuristic. Science, analysis, discovery. Free spirit + social responsibility. Sexually curious; strange marital conditions. Humane: sympathetic to others’ troubles. Social idealist, reformer. Avoids “herd mind.” Occultists.

Moon sextile Uranus
Intellectually rebellious, roving, curious, inquiring. Not wholly comfortable with outside guidance. Original, futuristic, needing variety. Free-spirited: psychologically lives outside convention. Subject to tensions, emotional stress.

Moon sextile Neptune
Drawn to the imaginative & surrealistic. Loves mystery, pursues with avid curiosity. Sensitive, empathic (deeply understanding, sympathetic; also, psychically vulnerable). Self-defense through closing senses, withdrawing, introversion (worry, moodiness).

SUN in Leo
Requires centricity & satellites: Holds court. Casual dignity, simple elegance, innate flair. Authority, courage, competitive, hates weakness, nurtures talent. Warm, loyal; must love and be loved (centricity, adoration); sexually lusty, playful. Purity, perfection (pedantic). Strong religious instinct. Childlike delight.

MARS in Gemini
Bright, inquiring; forthright, decisive (strong opinions). Argumentative (debate, stirs conversation; eloquent?). Pragmatic (not idealistic). Methodical. Scientific mind hones facts, can commit mind to research (scientists). Gains strength from being heard; otherwise over-compensates. (May “know better than anyone else,” need to be right.) Substance abuse.

MERCURY in Leo
Bright, takes pride in learning. Derives stature, dignity, and strength from intellect. Refuses to be intimidated by facts. Dislikes “common thinking” and obvious stupidity. Flair for stylish expression; effective communicators. Resourceful.

Mercury sextile Jupiter
Intelligent; seems well-read, educated. Loves ideas & learning, comfortable with words. Good-tempered, kind. Optimistic. Business potential (from luck more than skill?). Always awaiting the next opportunity or break.

VENUS in Virgo
Intellect & reason as basis of romantic choices (wants to make “good choices”). Companionship as important as Eros. Undemonstrative with affection or attraction. Kind lovers (more devoted than dutiful). Takes life seriously (play isn’t a priority). Matter-of-fact, serving, inclined to help. Usually monogamous, few wander; inclined to conventional relationships.
