Mars-Uranus Promethean

Curious I saw this title in on of Garth Allen's descriptions for scorpio however running through the non Scorpio or Aquarius charts that still have Mars/Uranus as a large or competing energy would this be an appropriate archetype to describe them? [I would call Mars/Saturn Pan archetype so would this apply the same way].

Using what Garth Allen says in his description of promethean of course.

But also in the theme "to spite the Gods", stick it to the man, rebel with a cause etc.

Also in the meaning of forethought (I've noticed scorpio Aquarius types sometimes act while thinking or without thinking where as Uranus-Mars higher Urianan thinking is an action itself).

In that one sense, perhaps.

It's not at all what I think of as "Promethean," but, going with the way you defined it, I'd say your idea fits.

I define promethean as the giving, from on-high, of the greatest (often otherwise unattainable) gifts to humanity.

The name literally means "foresight," and there is necessarily a characteristic of futurism in the sense of "seeing ahead" and channeling foresighted wisdom.

I wasn't relating it to astrology at all. I was talking about the literal meaning of the word.

FWIW I think it's primarily Jupiter - possibly Jupiter-Uranus, but especially Jupiter. Prometheus is the transcendental Gift from on high.

Im unintelligent a bit here Jim. Prometheus is the forethinker which is a very uranus idea (one could argue the level above mercury) and his thoughts were to unshakle people by gifting them fire but clearly he also is Jupiter, that is gift's from above but also in his ambition.

He definitely is kind of the perfect counterfoil to Zeus who is the Sun and Jupiter (Ego and ambition). Their story is also themed in punishment for unshackling the Ego and eventual forgiveness (which symbolizes acceptance of a truer self dispite the goals of Jupiter)
