News source have been saying that last week's Oregon high school shooting marked the 74th school shooting in the 18 months since the Sandy Hook massacre. This number comes from an awareness group financed by Michael Bloomberg, which is using very wide definitions. CNN narrowed the definition to "a minor or adult actively shooting inside or near a school," and narrowed the list to 15 incidents. Here they are:
1/10/13 Taft, CA
1/15/13 St. Louis, MO
1/31/13 Atlanta, GA
4/12/13 Christianburg, VA
6/7/13 Santa Monica, CA
8/20/13 Decatur, GA
8/30/13 Winston-Salem, NC
10/21/13 Sparks, NV
12/13/13 Centennial, CO
1/9/14 Jackson, TN
1/14/14 Roswell, NM
1/21/14 West Lafayette, IN
1/24/14 Orangeburg, SC
5/23/14 Isla Vista, CA

Re: RESEARCH: School shootiongs since Newtown
I have calculated the immediate lunar ingress ("chart of the week") for each of these events. Five of the 15 were dormant. Of the 10 remaining, the malefic bias is clear:
Saturn is angular 5 times: 4 time (closely) & 1 time (widely)
Mars is angular 5 times: 3 time (closely) & 2 time (widely)
Venus is angular 2 times (closely)
Moon is angular 2 times: 1 time (closely) & 1 time (widely)
Mercury, Uranus & Neptune are angular 1 time (closely)
Sun, Jupiter, & Pluto are angular1 time (widely)
I used a point scale to weight this according to closeness. For proximity to major angles (horizon and meridian), I ave 4 pt if partile, 3 pts for < 3°, 2 points for < 7°, and 1 pt. for < 10°. For EP/WP or squares to horizon or meridian, I gave 4 pts. for partrile, 3 pts for < 2, and 2 pts. for < 3°. The totals for the planets for these 10 events are:
14: Saturn
13: Mars
8: Venus
5: Moon
4: Neptune
3: Uranus
4: Mercury
2: Sun, Jupiter
1: Pluto
Again, the Mars and Saturn bias is quite clear.
Of the 10 non-dormant charts, 9 had either Mars or Saturn angular. Some had both.

Of very great interest to me is that this list is an extraordinary demonstration of flow-through! Here's the simple bottom line: Of the five events with dormant weekly ingresses, the prior non-dormant lunar ingress had Mars angular four times - 4 out of 5! - with three of them very close. (The fifth one had Neptune closely angular.)
Here are the flow-through ingresses - the date and place of the event, and then the lunar ingress that flowed through.
1/24/14 Orangeburg, SC Lib
1/21/14 West Lafayette, IN Ari
1/14/14 Roswell, NM Lib
6/7/13 Santa Monica, CA Cap
1/31/13 Atlanta, GA Cap

Re: RESEARCH: School shootiongs since Newtown
After incorporating the prior flowing-through ingress for the dormant cases, the numbers for the 15 events rework as follows:
Mars is angular 9 times: 6 times (closely) & 3 times (widely)
Saturn is angular 7 times: 6 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Venus is angular 4 times: 3 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Moon is angular 3 times: 1 times (closely) & 2 times (widely)
Neptune is angular 3 times: 2 times (closely) & 1 time (widely)
Jupiter is angular 3 times (widely)
Mercury & Uranus are angular 2 times (closely)
Sun is angular 2 times (widely)
Pluto is angular 1 time (widely)
Or, to list only the CLOSE angularities:
7: Saturn
6: Mars
3: Venus
2: Mercury, Uranus, Neptune
1: Moon
0: Jupiter, Sun, Pluto
On the point system:
25: Mars
22: Saturn
13: Venus
8: Neptune
7: Moon, Mercury, Uranus
6: Jupiter
3: Sun
1: Pluto
This is incredibly exciting stuff! It gives a significant substantiation of flow-through, which is a principle that has helped clarify the interaction and general operation of the many layered solar and lunar ingresses.
Of these 15 charts, 9 had Mars angular and three of the rest had Saturn angular. Only three events did not have Mars or Saturn angular in the operative chart of the week.
Mars is angular 9 times: 6 times (closely) & 3 times (widely)
Saturn is angular 7 times: 6 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Venus is angular 4 times: 3 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Moon is angular 3 times: 1 times (closely) & 2 times (widely)
Neptune is angular 3 times: 2 times (closely) & 1 time (widely)
Jupiter is angular 3 times (widely)
Mercury & Uranus are angular 2 times (closely)
Sun is angular 2 times (widely)
Pluto is angular 1 time (widely)

7: Saturn
6: Mars
3: Venus

0: Jupiter, Sun, Pluto

Re: RESEARCH: School shootiongs since Newtown
I'm troubled by the absence of Pluto in these charts, compared to the previously tabulated shooting massacres overall. I suspect that the main Pluto effect is for Washington (as we have seen in many kinds of incidents), so I'm going to redo these charts for Washington.
CONCLUSIONS: We do indeed find that Pluto is much more often prominent when the charts are set to Washington, but are in no sense the leaders. In act, much of the pattern disappears altogether for Washington - there is not so clear a pattern at all. The luminaries get very involved, with Moon being most common - and, in fact, we've previously reported Moon's involvement when children are a central piece of the story, and it especially fits for "national reaction" patterns through Washington. There is also a spike in Jupiter activity (most of which is related to Pluto, though).
Mostly, though, I am left with the assessment that the weekly lunar ingresses for the location of the event are descriptive, those in DC not so much.
Sun is angular 9 times: 4 times (closely) & 5 times (widely)
Moon is angular 6 times: 5 times (closely) & 1 time (widely)
Jupiter & Uranus are angular 6 times: 3 times (closely) & 3 times (widely)
Pluto is angular 6 times: 2 times (closely) & 4 times (widely)
Mars is angular 5 times: 4 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Saturn is angular 4 times: 3 times (closely) & 1 times (widely)
Mercury is angular 4 times: 2 times (closely) & 2 times (widely)
Venus & Neptune are angular 3 times: 1 time (closely) & 2 times (widely)
Or, to list only the CLOSE angularities:
5: Moon
4: Sun, Mars
3: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus
2: Mercury, Pluto
1: Venus, Neptune
On the point system:
21: Moon
18: Sun, Mars
16: Jupiter
14: Pluto
13: Saturn, Uranus
12: Mercury
7: Venus
