Hello. I have a friend who is very interested in tropical astrology and asked me if I would post his chart here to see what the sidereal interpretation would be. If anyone would like to take a stab at it, it would be most appreciated! Thank you so much in advance. "I am hoping to get him to join this amazing forum".

Re: John's Natal Chart
These notes on John’s Sidereal Natal Horoscope are provided for reference and study. They are not a full interpretation of his birth chart; rather, they are building blocks from which a full interpretation can be built.
Each factor listed below contributes to his character. These paragraphs commonly repeat or contradict each other. (We all have contradictions.) Though it does not take an astrologer to fuse these factors into a balanced picture of you and your life, it does require knowledge of human behavior and the ways that people support and sabotage themselves. Knowing yourself is a life-long undertaking.
The paragraphs are brief. I have sought to pack in everything essential, to use a few words to imply much more. Not every phrase will apply, of course. Some will be more important than others; but the gist of each section should clearly reflect truth about you.

ANGULAR PLANETS
Saturn opposite Midheaven (0°39')
Needs to be self-reliant, self-sufficient, autonomous, independent (maturing is a process of securing these). Works hard, industrious. Survival instinct is strong & drives much of the behavior. Hardship likely (especially in youth); struggle for security; life’s demands seem severe (some are beaten down; some gain great strength & endurance). Cautious, emotionally reserved, self-protective, conscientious, methodical, austere (may shut others out emotionally). Beware self-restriction arising from fear.
Sun square Ascendant (0°19')
Warm, friendly, generous, shining their light on the world (often in a paternal, controlling, sense). Vital, assertive, confident (or acts it). Aware they have purpose (goal, destiny) they must seek, find, and actualize. At best: Is in charge of self & does well leading others (can be bossy, demanding, entitled). Needs centricity (attracts satellites; may expect others’ world to revolve around them). Drawn to proud, useful institutions. Instinct for immortality.
Venus square Ascendant (1°53')
Charming, attractive, popular. Friendly, amiable, gracious. Kind, considerate, benevolent. Flirtatious, affectionate. Loving, caretaking, mothering. Drawn to beauty, pleasure, peace, tranquility (not pain, violence, turbulence); averse to cruelty & harm. Needs to experience pleasure & beauty; requires harmony & ease (reduced stress & friction). Stubborn & fierce toward injustice (personal or social).
SUNSun conjunct Venus (2°12')
Charming, gentle, fine companions. Keen sense of friendship and natural affection. Graceful. Marked aesthetic appreciation (if not artistic talents). Most comfortable in marriage or similar relationship. (A little vain?)
Sun conjunct Saturn (4°03')
Effective survivors, self-sufficient, hard-working, accomplishing. Few luxuries; prefers private, modest accommodations. Authority issues to overcome (paternal). Serious, yet good sense of humor! Childhood hardships common, circumstances force early maturation.
Sun in Capricorn
Survival and autonomy needs foremost. Sociable; not self-disclosing. Humor, storyteller, prankish, music. Good resource manager. Struggles against tough odds. Discontent, combative, resists persuasion and conformity. Values past; defies status quo. Emotions cautious initially. Extreme libido.
MOON
Moon in Gemini
Intellectual, curious, talkative (charming, engaging). Passions drive intellect & interests. Needs constant input. Attention & interests shifting, varied. Hyper-sensitive (psychic); touchy, edgy (irrational); withdraws, hides. Stability from companionship (does better paired). Needs approval, acceptance.
MARSMoon sextile Uranus (0°53')
Intellectually rebellious, roving, curious, inquiring. Not wholly comfortable with outside guidance. Original, futuristic, needing variety. Free-spirited: psychologically lives outside convention. Subject to tensions, emotional stress.
Moon octile Jupiter (0°32')
Good-humored, entertaining, kind, generous (natural host). Ambitious, desires success. Drawn to quality, desires the best. Strong beliefs (religious or patriotic intensity, morality, judgment). Social elitism (feigned superiority, aristocratic conceit).
Moon octile Neptune (0°34')
Hyper-sensitive. Empathic: can be deeply understanding, sympathetic; also, psychically vulnerable, easily wounded, fearing rejection. Self-defense through avoidance, closing senses, withdrawing, introversion (worry, moodiness). Drawn to the imaginative & surrealistic.
Mars in Sagittarius
Idealist (not necessarily pragmatic). Serious about subjects of interest: sincere, devoted, studious (seems hardworking; it’s really love or zeal). Passionate with beliefs; moral courage; persuasive. Innovative, ambitious, strategic. Thrives in classic styles. Many exude air of mystery or fantasy (branding?). Many are identified with ideologies, -ists, & -isms.
MERCURY
Mercury in Capricorn
A quiet (playfully perverse) pride in their disagreeable opinions & autonomous thinking. Enjoys shock value of spouting unusual ideas. Mind inquisitive, enthusiastic, with a sense of the macabre. Resists being convinced. Careful, methodical, orders information effectively.
VENUSMercury conjunct Jupiter (1°31')
Love of ideas and learning. Easy “way with words,” comfortable speaking, reassuring in speech and manner. Well-formed speech has marks of a good education (whether true or not). Good-tempered, kind; may seem shallower than they are. Optimistic, religious style of thinking, e.g., “gambler’s roll” (don’t disturb their “hope & vision” with contradictory facts!). Good business potential (perhaps from raw luck more than skill) and always looking for the next opportunity or lucky break. Poorly suited to fixed schedule or routine.
Mercury square Neptune (2°38')
Hyper-responsive to environment and perceptions, extreme sensitivity to sensory impressions (may include psychism). Magnifies trivialities, fixates on particulars (often perfectionists); thus, often uncanny memories. Loves puzzle- or problem-solving, often in fantasy modelling; gets much pleasure and psychological relief from fantasied problem solving. However, commonly avoids own real problems by obsessing over fantasy problems. Dreamers, storytellers, can enthuse-enroll others and convince someone of almost anything. Many adapt readily to systematized thought-modes of math and science.
Venus in Capricorn
Dutiful/devoted to family/loved ones (secures own freedom & pleasure within that). Tenacious once committed. Paternal themes in their partnering: one party plays a father role (be alert for parent-child games). Sociable, outgoing. Focus on common interests with friends. Beasts in bed. Pride themselves on self-sufficiency.
Venus octile Pluto (0°39')
“All or nothing” emotional intensity instinctively rejects others’ arbitrary values on love & sex. Seeks deep connections, often challenging social codes. (Doesn’t play it safe in relationships.) Typically, few intimates. Sexual development may come late (adolescent social rituals are perplexing).
JUPITER
Jupiter square Neptune (1°06')
Idealist (social idealist), dreams of “something better” (impressionable; desires worthy idols). Unreasoned optimism, faith (drawn to “too good to be true”). Generous (excessively? unwisely?). Compassionate, humanitarian. Conviction we thrive better together: cohesive, collective, community-building. Works best from a “big picture” (moving pieces within it). Forges a distinctive worldview (a window on reality to share). Entertainment (actor, filmmaker, music, literature). Religious, spiritual, mystical interests. Impractical (unrealistic, fantasy) relationship to money (speculation).
