March 14, 1887, morning, Boston, MA, 42N17'38'', 71W07'23''
Railroad bridge accident. Bridge collapsed as train passed over it, crashing cars to street below. 38 died, 40 seriously injured. It was a morning commuter train.

7:00 AM is when it pulled out of the station at Dedham en route to Boston. Today a Dedham train or bus to Boston takes about 60 minutes, so mid-18th century it was likely an hour and a half, estimating 8:30 AM (just as Neptune rose opposite a setting Moon).
