Six-story hotel collapsed, burying 50 people. 33 died, 17 injured. "the building rapidly disintegrated in less than a minute," possibly (but not certainly) inaugurated by a gas explosion. In any case, the real cause was a serious engineering flaw in the original construction (miscalculation of weight-bearing).
