Rep. Karen Bass is much in the news, so I thought I'd post what we know of her birth data. She was born October 3, 1953, in Los Angeles, CA.

Moon is either in Cancer or Leo. From knowing her a bit (I know her niece and have had a long lunch with the Karen), I'm certain it's a Leo Moon. That would mean that she was born later than 10:46 AM PST.

If we accept that Leo Moon as a starting point, best astrological practice is to set a "working" time as in the middle of the "known" period. If the birth time is between 10:46 AM and midnight (13 hours 14 minutes), the center is 5:23 PM, plus or minus 6h 37m.

A possible event of great importance (more importance than winning elections and being appointed to legislative offices and chairs) - Her 23-year-old daughter and her son-in-law died to a car crash: October 29, 2006, 4:30 AM, Westchester, CA. At the time, she was serving in the California State Assembly, so likely was either in Sacramento or Los Angeles.

For a time of 10:31 PM, for her daughter's death, we find this in the Solar Arcs:

Her SSR for this time has natal Saturn-Neptune straddling MC (Neptune closer) and Venus square Asc.

Her SLR has natal Saturn-Neptune on IC (Neptune closer and conjunct transiting Sun 05'), among other features - basically, transiting Sun, Venus, and Mars with natal Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune.

It's a possible time.
