Donald Trump called Republican Secretary of State for Georgia, Brad Raffensperger, on Saturday and did his best to intimidate, berate, coax, bully, wheedle, guilt and threaten him into "finding" 11,780 more votes for Trump. The call was taped, and the Washington Post got a copy of it.

I can't locate a time for the call, nor the time the tape was released (sometime this afternoon)

This could be evidence enough to impeach him again, and bar him from holding any office in the future.

Candidate for US Senator, Jon Ossoff just announced on his Twitter page that he won the Georgia senate race, against incumbent David Perdue. According to The New York Times, he's currently ahead of Perdue by over 16,000 votes.

The Vice President has been evacuated from the Senate chambers by the Secret Service because Trump's protesters have breached the lines protecting the Capitol. I don't think they've got into the building yet.

Candidate for US Senator, Jon Ossoff just announced on his Twitter page that he won the Georgia senate race, against incumbent David Perdue. According to The New York Times, he's currently ahead of Perdue by over 16,000 votes.

Major news networks are now calling the election for Jon Ossoff, as he leads David Perdue by nearly 25,000 votes, at a margin larger than the what is required to trigger a recount under Georgia law.

She was shot during the mobbing of the Capitol. She has now died.

Neither her name nor details have been released. (The way that the news said no information was given on who may have shot her, sounds like how they sometimes report that the police shot someone. I hope that's not the case here, of course.)

In the wee hours, after a long, rough, historic day, Congress certified the Biden-Harris victories.

I have an announcement from LA Times at 12:46 AM (Pacific) and NY Times at 12:51 AM. I was just sent a Twitter link to a Kyle Cheney of Politico, time-stamped 3:33 AM (Eastern), saying they had just gotten the 270th vote. Unless I find something earlier, that (or a minute earlier) is probably the time.

Biden and Harris have Demi-SLRs today that are worth seeing.

As you know, I have never understood or paid much attention to any kind of politics. I have never seen either DC party directly affect me or my family in my entire life. Is the main reason for resolution to impeach/convict so he can never run for Prez again? Otherwise, why bother, on Jan 20 Trump will be forgotten history just like any other defeated Prez. What are the chances he will actually be impeached with a conviction? I need to check and see if Vegas is putting out odds for a conviction. Does having 10 Rep senators mean he will be impeached/convicted for sure in a final vote? It appears to me to be mostly BS like the first impeachment process where the Dems knew for sure he would not be convicted. Sorry for my ignorance/don't care attitude in this political matter. Partly. But the main reason is to uphold the Rule of Law. Trump's mob was howling for his own Vice President to be hung because he "wouldn't" (because he couldn't) overturn the election and make Trump president for another term. Nevermind the vandalism and theft, Trump's mob KILLED a police officer by beating him to death. 50 officers were injured, some severely. Trump's mob put up a gallows complete with a noose and brought bombs with them. And zip tie handcuffs. What do YOU think they were planning Steve??

I think the odds are much better than last time. Liz Cheny (the former VP's daughter and #3 in Senate leadership is voting to Impeach. Mitch McConnell is "pleased."

This isn't a Democratic vs Republican thing. These are the same people who intended to kidnap and murder the governor of Michigan. This is about political violence and white supremacist "militia" groups attacking our democracy trying to overthrow it with the support of a crazy aff who will try to pardon these murderers so they can do it again and impose him on us as president again.

Steve, being apolitical is fine. But this is not politics. Our country is under attack just as much as it was when the attack was made on Pearl Harbor.

This is a rare occasion of a apparent rate PSSR looking better than the mean rate, which makes it an interesting item. The mean rate chart still has transiting Mars within 1° of PSSR but solar Saturn not so close to the not-quite-3° Capricorn MC.

By mean rate, MC is 2°43' Capricorn, Asc 21°17' Aries, EP 6°58' Aries (but transiting Mars in RA is still within 0°52' of it).

Today 1/20/21 at the Capitol Building, Kamala Harris was inaugurated Vice President at 11:42 AM and Joe Biden inaugurated President at 11:49 AM. Their terms of office became official at 12:00 PM.

Marion and I were watching on different feeds. Three different feeds had slightly different delays. In general, she noticed that she saw things on ABC 30 seconds earlier than I did on CBS. As Harris was taking the oath, my phone stayed at 11:42 for most of a minute and was close to rolling over to 11:43, but I was about 30 seconds behind what was broadcasting on another network.

So, I think rounding down is more accurate this time. Notice btw that that this means that she started the oath with Uranus roughly in the exact minute of Ascendant.

The trick is to find which station has the shortest delay. None has no delay, but 3 seconds is better than 30 seconds is better than 90 seconds. Live TV is never live.

I got Biden's oath started at 11:48:17 AM and ended at 11:48:50 AM Eastern. I used my Android phone which syncs with the US Naval Observatory atomic clocks. Android phones set their lock screen time automatically through the GPS systems on their cell towers that are tied directly to the signal from the Observatory.

It just came out (probably 10:40 PM Eastern Jan 20, 2021) that General Charles Flynn was in the room on the 6th when the Pentagon turned down the pleas from the DC police and Capitol Police to send in the National Guard. This was after the first shots had been fired.

Gen Chas Flynn is Gen Michael Flynn's brother.

This morning, five people died in Indianapolis' "largest mass casualty shooting" in over a decade (since the Hamilton Avenue murders killed 7 people in 2006). One was a 19-year-old pregnant woman: The fetus also didn't survive. There was at least one other injury.

A Reddit group has taken Game Stop stocks, usually worth about $3 up 275% to about $300 a share, intending to take down hedge funds that were betting against Game Stop. They're also bidding up AMC stock. They're saying you manipulate us, we manipulate you.

Wall Street is too high and been too high too long, with no relationship to the real world economy. Get out the popcorn. This should be fun.

GameStop is headquartered in a Dallas suburb. Moon entered Cancer this morning, and I wrote of it:

It appears this is going to be an ongoing thing - Reddit vs Wall Street. If I had much of anything in the stock market right now, I'd cash out and wait to see what happens. I think this will be shut down by the regulators somehow, but it might be kind of a big ride till then. Hardcore gamblers and gamers only.

This started slow about 6 months ago. Besides Game Stop and AMC, they're pushing up Blackberry stock.

Reddit is claiming the Big Banks are manipulating the price of Silver by their short sells (trying to force lower prices). Reddit is now telling the small Main Street speculators to buy Silver in order to create a Short Squeeze forcing the price of Silver to much higher prices like they were able to do with the Game Stop Stock.

There are only two words to describe this unique event happening on Wall Street:
Crazy & Dangerous! Wall Street Banks are already taking measures by changing the rules of this speculative game where Main Street will ultimately lose their speculative $, and Wall Street, as usual comes out on top. The Federal Reserve backs Wall Street and Big Banks with unlimited amounts of $. I highly doubt Main Street wins this speculative game, if so, we will witness a beginning to a huge Pluto Event entering Capricorn pertaining to the financial world which will probably re-write the rules of free market prices with harsh price regulations. But when it comes to potent Pluto symbolism---who knows---Pluto has a knack for putting things into twilight zones of the unreal.

Other stocks being played with: AMC theaters, Blackberry (phone maker), Bed Bath and Beyond, Planatir Technologies (same company is holding shorts on this as on Game Stop), Express (mall clothing store), and hydrogen fuel cell maker Plug Stop.

Wall Street is fighting back. This may get bloody (the little guys' blood) before long.

I totally agree JSAD! But to truly understand all of this is to understand what a Short Squeeze is and how it works in financial markets. But in the end---the elites big financial will always change the rules in their favor vs the little guys . What I am waiting to see play out: if there are any class action law suits filed over this Reddit situation vs Wall Street.

I witness the classic Short Silver Squeeze the Hunt Brothers played in 1980 on the Chicago Board of Trade, and was witness to some phenomenon things happening behind the scenes. I will try to write-up a post about this latter so we can all have a better understanding of how Short Squeezes work--its very interesting. Somebody on Reddit thinks they can pull-off a Short Squeeze with the Big Banks, and this can could technically be done, only if the Reddit guy calling the shots knows the Big Banks don't own, have the physical silver in stock. In other words, Reddit would be calling the Big Banks bluff on their Silver Supply. But, no matter, the old saying "the bigger you are the harder you fall' applies to markets the "faster the price goes up the faster/harder it falls". If Reddit is to pull-off a Short Squeeze on the Big Banks with Silver, technically speaking, Silver has to close soon over 30 $ an ounce on the weekly charts.

Yes, an excellent point! The App "Robin Hood" was how the little guys were executing most their small $ amt trades. I am not sure, but I think the owner of the Wall Street Hedge Fund got the owner of the App Robin Hood to not allow any more buy orders for GME. Like you said JSAD---its getting bloody! Reddit countered this Wall Street move by telling their followers (small traders)---just don't sell any of your GME stock. Technically, this would work and Wall Street would have to force some other kind of regulation onto the small trader. IMO, I think this may be the first tip of the Pluto Iceberg Jim was talking about with Pluto entering Cap, "stunningly/shocking" certain financial structures. I would love to see the little people win this game, but I have serious doubts. Anyway, fun for me to watch to take away some of the boredom with limited movement with limitations of this pandemic.

I think this event will eventually stop the billionaires elite Wall Street hedge fund speculators from destroying small companies with their Short Selling and false negative news about companies, that is, if the regulators don't stop Main Street Reddit speculators, which is probably what will happen.

As JSAD predicted Game Stop Stock is now plunging in price after Reddit took the price from 18 $ a share in early Jan to 347 $ a share on Wed Jan 27. Price has now fallen back to below 100 $ a share. I do think this unreal financial event will become one of the top financial stories for 2021.
