In prime vertical longitude? Involving my aspects when it comes to relocation.
I have Kepler but it has different in mundo settings and they do not list the mundane midpoints I was given on this forum, so I do not have confidence that the program I have is accurate. Which program should I buy that will do this? And where could I find instructions on how to use the program to do that?
I want to calculate my midpoints to more places like Austin, Phoenix, and many many other places, so I want a program that will do it for me, and instructions that will teach me, but doing it mundanely in prime vertical chart longitude and not zodiacal longitude.
I hope to get a helpful answer and not "I was working and you made me answer you" like I did last time I made a comment.
What program can I buy to calculate my location midpoints mundanely?

I use Solar Fire. From the locality chart, create a Z-Analog Prime Vertical chart (the chart in prime vertical longitude). That's what you want.
IMO all you really want from that is midpoints involving the angles. The reports for Midpoint Listing and Midpoint Axes (available with a couple of clicks from each chart) will give that.

I use 8, but every version since at least 5 does this. Yes, 9 will calculate the PV.

I have Solar Fire 9 now. What do I click on, on this screen to create a z analog prime vertical chart? I clicked on lines and "In mundo" was checked off instead of zodiacal, but that's all I saw in terms of that. The rest of these buttons don't seem to be working. I clicked reports, and nothing happens when I click on the options under reports. Can someone help me find the chart from the screen below? What button do I press and in what order to get to the z analog prime vertical chart and read the midpoints? The screenshot of what I'm looking at is here: https://imgur.com/a/vNjhwlNrcooke13 wrote: Wed Apr 07, 2021 3:40 pmIs it version 9?Jim Eshelman wrote: Wed Apr 07, 2021 8:16 am I use Solar Fire. Calculate the chart for a locale. Click on it (choose it) in the Calculated Charts list. Click the "Harmonics" icon on the tool bar (a blue circle with music notes and an H), or press the F6 key, or click Chart | Harmonics/Transform... (all the same). On this list, pick "Z-Analog Prime Vert" to get the prime vertical chart.rcooke13 wrote: Fri Apr 09, 2021 5:24 pm I have Solar Fire 9 now. Open the chart. Click the Reports button at right. I suggest scrolling down to the "MidPoint Axes" report. I suggest you set the Modulus to 90° and the Orb to 1°00. (You're only interested in MC, Asc, and planets. Other points like EP and Vx aren't correctly represented in this framework: Ignore them or pick a planet set that doesn't include them.)
Another approach: Click instead on the "MidPoint Listing" report and set Modulus on 90°00'. In the bottom half, everything within 1°00' of either 0°00' or 90°00' is within 1° of an angle.

Okay, I found out and did it. What is EP and Vx? What does it look like on the midpoint list?Jim Eshelman wrote: Fri Apr 09, 2021 5:44 pmCalculate the chart for a locale. I have a question, so I'm just using the ATL midpoints as an example. On the screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/ay6sF7x you did tell me about the first 3 midpoints there for atl, but are you saying the midpoints after the first 3 there, are not valid? If so, why are the midpoints after the first 3 not valid? I ask because I want to understand so that I can know when a midpoint is not valid and when one is, for when I'm looking at these by myself.

Re: What program can I buy to calculate my location midpoints mundanely?
Ep = East Point
Vx = Vertex
Neither are correctly represented in this framework, as Jim said, so just ignore them.
The other midpoints are valid, sort of, but this is a different framework. If you want to look at other midpoints, create a regular chart and read from that. This is a different framework. This only shows angularity. As you get away from the angles, the aspects and points get more and more distorted.
This is not a regular horoscopic chart and you can't read it as if it were. This is a mundane chart. Whole different animal.
Have you read Jim's giant free book on mundane astrology? Look at https://solunars.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=4017 That thread explains some of the difference between this kind of mundane chart and a regular horoscope chart. The planets aren't always where it looks like they are in the regular chart.

Re: What program can I buy to calculate my location midpoints mundanely?
Remember, we're ONLY to find midpoints involving angles. Specifically, therefore, a midpoint of PLANET = PLANET/PLANET is not under consideration in this framework. Also, I wasn't setting out to list every possible midpoint, just those that tipped the scales on "good place vs. bad place" or stood out in some obvious way. (I'd have to go back and reread what I wrote above to know exactly what I said.)rcooke13 wrote: Fri Apr 09, 2021 8:20 pm I have a question, so I'm just using the ATL midpoints as an example. So, for Atlanta, the complete list of mundoscope midpoints involving angles on a 90° modulus within 1° are:
MC = Asc = Mo/Ve
Su = Mo/MC
Sa = Ur/MC
Ve = Me/MC = Ne/MC

Re: What program can I buy to calculate my location midpoints mundanely?
I did not know what angle meant. I've never known what it meant. But now reading what you've wrote here, it sounds like an angle has to have either asc or mc in it in order for it to be an angle and therefore valid under this framework, and planet = planet/planet is not valid.Jim Eshelman wrote: Fri Apr 09, 2021 9:26 pmRemember, we're ONLY to find midpoints involving angles. So now that I know that, I can look at different cities now and note the valid midpoints now.

Yes. The major angles are the Ascendant/Descendant and MC/IC.
