Mars In Several Lunar Returns

Post by Venus_Daily »

Beginning in September of 2022, I have Mars close to or partile an angle in my SLRs until Febuary of March 2023. October seems to be the worst with stationary Mars on the SLR descendant. November 26th, Mars is on break from that SLR but it's replaced with Saturn on the Mc. My SSR for 2022 seems slightly positive with no partile aspects, Pluto on the ASC and the SSR moon making wide aspects to Jupiter and Mercury. I guess I'm just venting because I don't do well with confontration. I was bullied mercilessly as a kid and teenager, and I was molested as a child and sexually assaulted as a teen.

The first thing you want to do is get a really great solar return. This will set a high baseline for the rest of the year (the SLRs will be much better than you'd ordinarily expect). For birthplace / current residence, you have transiting Pluto rising and natal Saturn at MC, so I recommend you not spend your birthday at home. The main Jupiter line accessible to you arcs across mostly barren parts of the West - Wyoming looks interesting, for example. We'll work with you, if you like, to pick an optimal place that also considers your natal planets.

That said... are these all transiting Mars? (I haven't looked at the lunars.) This can mean many things, only some of which involve attacks, conflict, or accidents. Probably the most common expression is that life calls on you to expend enormous energy, e.g., a higher work load. It could mean taking on aggressive physical exercise or even training. It could mean lots of sex.

So, start with a great SSR, then pick some Mars activities you'd like to do.

For next year's SSR, Bryce Canyon in Utah has Jupiter exactly square Asc, natal Jupiter rising, and a few other weaker things. Rock Springs, WY has a similar look but emphasizes Pluto much more than Utah. Riverton, WY backs the Pluto off a little, but it's still there. (These are approximate locations.)

The charts look better for Bryce Canyon - but, also, I'm prejudiced toward that place. (It's mind-blowingly beautiful.) It's hard to do wrong through central Utah, though: It's all about where the angularities are best.

I agree with everything Jim already said, and have quoted the part I think is important to emphasize.

Also: These charts depict, with their angularity, simply the general tone of a two-weeks period (sometimes 4-weeks); look for specific aspects, and focus on closest-by-orb, to get more details.

As time goes by, I am finding more and more that the transits-to-natal strongest by orb (regardless of their angularity) in the Lunar Return charts are providing substantial information for the given two-weeks period.

Venus, if you haven't downloaded and installed Mikestar's TMSA program, I suggest you do so. It tabulates the important things in return charts in a way that draws your attention directly to what happens most. For example, your September 6, 2022 SLR - admittedly a pretty unpleasant chart - shows like this:

Immediately, you see the very strong (100% strength) transiting Mars, with Saturn nearly as strong; and natal Mars and Uranus similarly strong. Mars opposite your Mars-Uranus and Saturn square your Mars are the relevant aspects. This will tend toward undesirable results and, in particular, is accident-prone (something likely will break).

Of course, if (as I advised) you go away for your birthday, you'll also be gone when this chart sets up. Recalculating for Bryce Canyon, for example, it looks like this (I'll trim out the extraneous):

This isn't perfect - not as good as the new Solar would be for the same place. But it's much better than at home. (And I find that travel always has little discomforts and flubs that make a malefic or two make sense.) For the new location, transiting Venus is the most angular planet, with Mars and Uranus more moderate. Natal Saturn is the single strongest voice (on WP), with natal Mercury, Mars, Uranus, and Pluto also strong. This chart shows the world (transiting Venus) being much kinder to you than you are to yourself (natal Saturn), with a tendency to over-fret about logistics and plan details (Saturn, Mercury, Pluto).

But the strongest planets in the strongest aspect comes down to t Venus conjunct your Mercury foreground, a really nice aspect for travel and doing fun, interesting things. You still have Mars to your Mars-Uranus foreground, but not nearly as close. Etc.

Coming back home, your next SLR (October 3) is more anxious than troublesome. Here are the main features:

At a glance, you see that the most angular transiting planets are Mercury and Neptune (backed by Mars and Jupiter). Transiting Neptune is strongest (backed by natal Jupiter). This is mostly a really uncomfortable, probably anxiety-driven SLR except with a very significant reprieve: The closest aspects are the closely angular Mercury-Neptune and Mars-Neptune conjunctions; but, also foreground, you have transiting Jupiter partile conjunct natal Jupiter. This, alone, will make things far better than you will fear they will be. (Having a solidly Jupiter-themed SSR will help that even more.) - The lesson from this one is that you have to consider the whole chart, and not just notice the angular Mars.

Let's do one more, your October 30 SLR. (I really want you to see how easy this is with TMSA, which you can get for free.)

The first thing to note is that there are more benefics foreground than malefics. Though mixed in its message, and likely continuing the anxiety trend, on balance this will be a good month. The transits are Mars backed by a pretty strong Jupiter, plus natal Neptune strongest, but backed by Venus and Jupiter.

So, overall, it's more fun than not. In fact, it might be ALL fun. The most worrisome thing is transiting Mars opposite your Neptune which signals extreme emotional excitement. Usually this is unpleasant (like recoiling from an attack), but it's generally not that in an otherwise positive chart. It could be broad anxiety about something, or enjoyable emotional excitement with such things as scaring yourself for Halloween, roller coasters, sex encounters with lots of fantasy and drama, being in a mad crowd at a big event, or all sorts of similar things. Jupiter also squares your Neptune - it's even closer, tips the events toward Jupiter-Neptune themes, etc. Finally, your natal Venus-Jupiter square is foreground. I think you're going to enjoy this one!

Yes, Jim. I think I may travel for my birthday. I will also download the program. With my life experiences, situations like these just scare me. I don't want to break anything or anyone at my new job. I don't want to lose my license either.
