PDF printable Sidereal ephemerides are available for 9,000 years at the following link:

These don't have everything we want in an ephemeris (and have a thing or two we don't), but for planet positions in longitude to the minute they are quite useful.

For example, if you want to study the important year 786 BC - one of astrology's golden years - this file includes those ephemeris pages starting at page 86.
