My wife and I last night were watching the 2009 Blue Ray DVD of Woodstock and she asked me to do an analysis of Solar & Lunar Ingresses for this phenomenal event. Woodstock Musical Festival in Bethel New York held Aug 15-18 1969 is known as the largest group assembly of people in the USA to ever attend one single event. This festival is known as an iconic musical event dedicated to a generation of extraordinary Rock & Roll musicians. Depending on which Media reports you read, an estimated 300,000-500,000 people attended this musical festival. Sri Swami Satchidananda opened this Festival with mediation and chants dedicated to ‘peace and love’ with the power of sound (music). Picture of the Swami’s opening ceremony:

I find the preceding Cansolar most interesting, featuring the Moon (Populace/People) & Venus (Peace & Love) occupying the angles. Partile aspects, Jupiter-Uranus conjunction symbolizing this Large Joyful-Revolutionary Musical Festival. Pluto partile 180 Caput which Ebertin in COSI delineates: ‘The common destiny of a large mass of people, crowds or large groups of people, mass meetings.’

Very cool. Yeah, we should look at this

Although Swami Satchidananda gave the formal opening speech and invocation at 7:10 PM, Richie Havens actually performed for two hours before that, starting at 5:07 PM. I'm inclined to take August 15, 1969, 5:07 PM, Bethel (or White Lake), NY as the starting time, though it could be 7:10 PM.

There are several Bethels and a couple of White Lakes in NY, but the only ones to share the same county are those in Sullivan Co. I'm using, therefore, the coordinates for the hamlet of White Lake, NY in Sullivan County, 41N41, 74W50.

The 5:07 PM chart for Richie Havens' performance had nothing exactly on the angles, though Venus was foreground. The 7:10 PM chart for the formal invocation and opening is most marked by the 0°07' Moon-Pluto conjunction in Leo) and occurred with the Sun less than 2° from the Westpoint in moderate square to Neptune near the MC. I suppose it's a slightly better chart, though for mundane purposes it doesn't matter much.

Thanks for your input Jim. Your opening sentence for Pluto when angular with Mundane Ingress Charts states:

Pluto signifies events that stun the senses and halt the mind.

I noticed Pluto angular in the Year, Month & Week Ingresses for Woodstock. This cultural iconic event certainly stunned and halted the senses with the huge crowds attending this festival.

My old 76 year mind slips back to 1969 and I find myself as well as many others in my generation captured by the off and on Uranus-Pluto conjunctions taking place in the late 60s. This conjunction literally transformed minds with many different types of “Revolutions” taking place on the Planet. “Revolutions” of “Sex, Drugs, & Music” was born, a complete new Uranus-Pluto vibe with “stunning/shocking” changes for my younger generation. It was a new/unique (Uranus) time period reflecting the sheer power of outer planet conjunctions affecting minds/souls of people on the Planet, indeed a "new vibration" sweeping the Planet. In 1969 was my first experience with LSD and Magic Mushrooms which opened my mind-up in ways that I could write essays.
