Dr. Millard wrote:Almost twenty-five years ago, it was very fashionable to use X-rays and other radiation treatment for enlarged tonsils and persistent thymus glands because they could easily be shrunk, without having to be removed. The fad did not last long. Since the seeds of cancer, when planted, do not grow for about fifteen or twenty years, it was only recently that the realization dawn that carcinoma of the thyroid gland was becoming more common. It was nearly always found in those who had been radiated...
It is now considered thought to be advisable to supervise these irradiated children carefully, since about ten per cent of them will eventually develop tumors of the thyroid gland. I know of two people born in the same month, both irradiated. One [Mary Lou] actually had a malignant thyroid nodule removed, and the other [Francis] has a nodule which is cold on scan but not malignant.
...Here is the chart of a young woman, Mary Lou, who developed a malignancy at the age of twenty-six and had it removed. She is in good health now, and there is not likely to be a recurrence.
It is possible, however, that Mary Lou some day will have a different malignancy. Some people are inclined to the unrestrained growth of cells, and some are not... Cancer is a great astrological and medical mystery, but it probably has to do with the outer planets and the nodes and especially with Pluto...
The other chart, that of Francis, is somewhat similar. [As stated earlier, she "has a nodule which is cold on scan but not malignant."]
