I'm traveling for my birthday to Los Angeles to get a great solar return in January. I've been doing some reading online and some people have written how they believe traveling for your solar return is like cheating destiny, forcing life events, and that people who do it every year are like "over doing it" and because it's forcing things, it may be harmful in the long run. I don't agree because the solar return chart I want suits my goals and wants whereas the chart I have now by staying does not. People have written that they think traveling is like running away from their lessons but it doesn't make sense to me. What kind of lesson am I getting by feeling lazy and confused and not doing anything during the year (Neptune)? That's not what I want, so how is it a lesson or my fate to get charts that aren't right for me? So I do not believe it when people wrote this.
I wanted to know your opinion on this? Do you feel solar return charts are what we're supposed to get because it's fate and necessary lessons, and that traveling every year is cheating and harmful long-term? I do not believe this and look forward to traveling on my birthday, but I was curious what your thoughts were as to why you don't feel it is true?
Is aiming your solar return like cheating destiny?

Harmful to what? The only thing I can imagine it might be "harmful" to is the idea that we have predestined lives to which we should passively, sheepishly surrender.rcooke13 wrote: Tue Sep 26, 2023 9:07 am I've been doing some reading online and some people have written how they believe traveling for your solar return is like cheating destiny, forcing life events, and that people who do it every year are like "over doing it" and because it's forcing things, it may be harmful in the long run.
I would call it choosing your destiny, choosing life experiences - in short, choosing the life you want to live. That's not cheating: It's taking charge of your life.
That's exactly right.I don't agree because the solar return chart I want suits my goals and wants whereas the chart I have now by staying does not.
A case be made that we become more "well rounded" by exposing ourselves to various planetary energies. This is especially true when young (when we also have more years to recover from the worst possibilities and may not yet have had wide experience). Even then, I see nothing wrong with choosing the life you want to live: That's the most important lesson of all!
If so, then call me a cheater. Every year my wife and I pick where to go for or birthdays based primarily on picking the solar return we want to construct.I wanted to know your opinion on this? No, everything that has happened or will happen was meant to happen. I look at it more as each time we make a decision, heads or tails, a new bubble universe possibly branches off. Each decision is equally valid and meant to happen in each universe.
