Scary is far too strong a word. If anything, I'd be worried about "the other guy."

Pluto's transit to your Sun (and, more broadly, to your Sun-Saturn) is a long-term process - art least a couple of years - that is intended to dismantle who you are and let you walk through a one-way doorway into a different sense of who you are in the world.

Within that, the Sun-Mars conjunction exactly on your Pluto is at least eye-catching. Something is likely to erupt. Sun conjoins your Pluto every year (and conjoins, opposes, or squares it four times a year), usually signaling an impactful day - something of a cross-roads, some sort of turning point appropriate to the moment. It's usually a day you pull back, stay alone, or want to get away from something to be authentically yourself. Mars to Pluto by itself (the main aspect here: Sun just reinforces it) can stir issues of anger, sex, dominance, and other "charged" issues. It tends to be stressful and may cause you to strike out.

Unless you are running from the law at the moment, the main result is likely to be enhanced stress, feeling pushed hard under someone else's control, and at risk of losing your temper a bit. Mercury opposite your Mars the same day is also stressful to the nerves with the mind super-busy, with you irritable, intolerant, probably body-stressed, and a bit empathy-challenged. (I'm curious, though: Over the years, how do transits to your Venus-Mars work? You have these at least four times a year every year.) The other aspects just fill in the gaps a bit.

So perhaps this won't be your favorite day, you need to be mindful of how you are feeling in your body and where other people are really coming from; but also it can be intensely productive.

On looking further, I'd modify this a bit. No need to leave the country but - really - be careful and mindful of others.

The "looking further" is that all this falls two days after your November 15 lunar return, which has transiting and natal Saturn and natal Mars exactly angular. There's a good chance of getting into a fight or confrontation. You are likely to feel very combative. Things are not likely to go your way. This could involve a physical accident. So be careful.

Angular planets (visually presented proportionate to their strength are):

t Mercury on Asc -8°11'
r Saturn on IC -0°43'
t Saturn on N -0°11'
----------------------------
r Mars on WP +0°41'

r Venus on MC +1°48'
t Mars on Asc -6°48'
t Sun on Asc +7°42'
t Uranus on Dsc +9°49'

Foreground aspects (probably the real "meat" of the two to four weeks, in addition to the double-Mars double-Saturn bent) include:

r Mars-Saturn sq 0°36'
t Sun-Mars co 0°49'

t Saturn-Uranus sq 1°08'
r Venus-Mars sq 1°29'
t Sun-Uranus op 1°53'
r Venus-Saturn op 2°05'
t Mercury sq r Venus 2°17'
t Mercury op r Mars 22°21' M
t Mars-Uranus op 2°43'

Oh wonderful...

I checked my girlfriend's transits for these days out of curiosity:

Friday 11/17/23
Pluto Conjunct Uranus 0°30
Saturn Opposition Moon 0°52
Venus Square Mars 0°12
Neptune Square Jupiter 0°37
Sun Octile Mars 0°02
Mars Octile Mars 0°07

Saturday 11/18/23
Pluto Conjunct Uranus 0°29
Neptune Square Jupiter 0°38
Saturn Opposition Moon 0°54
Saturn Square Pluto 0°58
Mars Octile Mars 0°49
Sun Octile Mars 0°58

Looks like she will be going through some major transformation internally? Thinking she is involved somehow. I am not looking forward to drama or conflict. I'm trying to figure out if it would be best to stay home and isolate myself all day in something peaceful or maybe spend all day out somewhere else.

Just posting a follow-up for those interested.

Nothing significant happened. All was fine.
The only events of note were a ~9 hour power outage that affected 4669 people at its peak (weather was cool and clear; root cause ambiguous), and a plumbing issue. The power outage coincided with the peak period of several of my Saturday hard transits, lasting from 5:45am to 3:11pm 11/18/23. At 6pm my kitchen sink pipes clogged and the garbage disposal ripped itself off of the sink. But other than those weirdly unrelated happenings, all was good.
