MEDIUM-TERM (The Bridge)
Until mid-July, we are in an ongoing progressed Cansolar Sun conjunct Moon. Our current and former presidents are at the center of every news cycle, of course. Bringing greater and more specific worries, transiting Saturn squares Cansolar Ascendant until mid-June. Beginning May 16, transiting Neptune conjoin CanQ Moon worldwide. In the U.S., this shows difficult weeks of anxiety (if not dread), especially for anyone who is a solar figure - which, I think, includes both major parties' presidential candidates.
Worldwide, mid-May begins a time when fears and uncertainty are stirred by strong-handed acts by those in power. Heads of state with an overtly authoritarian bent feel unleashed to at least threaten (if not enact) strong measures contrary to the general welfare of their people.
For two and a half weeks (May 4-21) Jupiter crosses Capsolar Ascendant for Washington. Normally, this would be a blesséd time, and there surely will be something of that sort emerge now. Nonetheless, Jupiter added to Sun-Saturn-Neptune mix is rarely kind. Just before this, Mars crosses Cansolar IC. Mars and Saturn both transit Cansolar angles May 6-11. I suspect that the Jupiter events (Capsolar transits) will be separate from the Sun-Mars-Saturn events (Cansolar transits); or, if blended, they spell a dangerous mix of belief-evangelism mixed with power grabbing. Jupiter in adverse conditions often shows people with power, money, and advantage wanting more power, money, and advantage, which rarely works out well for the rest of us. In any case, May 11-16 is the "hot spot" time to watch in the U.S. which sets up the aftermath that begins May 16.

LIBLUNAR (Apr 23) Effective Apr 23-May 20
Because the next four lunar ingresses are dormant for Washington, this Liblunar (normally a one-week chart) last for four weeks - until the next Liblunar supplants it May 20 (which also is dormant). For Washington, it is the only active lunar ingress all month.
This is pleasing because, overall, the Liblunar is simple and comforting.
Like last month's charts, Mercury remains strong (1°14' from Nadir). This neutral Mercury shares honors with a Moon-Venus opposition, with Venus in the exact degree of her exaltation (27° Pisces). To be more optimistic than current conditions support, I note that historically such placements for an angular Venus have signified peace, calming, treaties and other agreements that further communication and cooperation.
Angular Mercury puts emphasis for these four weeks on commerce, communication, transportation, and technology. Routinely, Mercury means that the news media mobilizes with special broadcasts, media events, and other incidents that interrupt our lives with news reports they think we can't get through the day without.
CAPLUNAR (Apr 30)
The Capsolar is dormant. Strongest local activity in the U.S.: Jupiter-Uranus IC lines (due north from the Mississippi-Alabama gulf, straddling Chicago and Milwaukee) intersect Moon-Pluto rising square Venus (from Louisiana through Detroit). These four lines intersect in western Tennessee and Kentucky and along the Ohio River, an area that should be in the news for any of several reasons, e.g., (1) eruptions of mass-mind in popular protest and civil unrest, (2) extreme weather with a focus on flooding, or (3) technical breakthroughs promising much for the common good. Mars-Neptune lines through central California (north of Santa Barbara County along the Central Coast), reaching inland, are probably not wildfires (unseasonal), but rather severe weather damage or human violence. - A Pluto line through Moscow is disturbing.
ARILUNAR (May 6)
The Arilunar is dormant. Across the U.S., benefics shine brightly on California's coast, especially in Los Angeles. Saturn sends chills through the longitude of Charlotte, which includes southern Florida and the Appalachian chain. (Perhaps a freeze on the budding orange crop? If not unseasonably bad weather, expect human depravity.) Denver has a unique Saturn-Uranus crisis.
CANLUNAR (May 12)
The Canlunar is dormant. Across the U.S., Saturn is on IC again for the longitude of Charlotte, repeating exactly what was said for last week. The most interesting area to watch is the gentle curve of Sun-Uranus setting from the heart of Texas northeast across Minnesota, plus square MC at the longitude of Denver. With Sun-Jupiter-Uranus in central Texas, technology businesses are likely to announce a new, significant, attention-grabbing breakthrough in that area.
Internationally, Kyiv is directly under a Mars line, indicating significant ramping up of violence by or to them, including a possible assault directly on the capital. A Moon line near Israel is hard to read but, by itself, usually means headlines that move the masses and stir unusually powerful sympathy and other emotion.
LIBLUNAR (May 20)
The Liblunar is dormant. (For one week, there are no operative lunar ingresses for Washington.)
For the third week in a row, Saturn's line passes nearly through Charlotte, including most of Florida, both Carolinas, much of the Appalachians, and eastern Ohio. Either severe weather or something deadly and remarkably disturbing is happening this month along that line. Sun, Jupiter, and Venus line California's coast, with Sun-Jupiter shining strongest on LA and Venus passing right through San Francisco. Denver is again in the Saturn-Uranus crosshairs. Philadelphia is the largest city on a Mars line that also touches west-central New York. - Internationally, Saturn sets on a line near London, Paris, and Barcelona and squares MC at the longitude of Amsterdam. Mars is tightly angular in Moscow, which will likely erupt with new strength of violence. Unfortunately, that same Mars line passes through Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, so this week will not see the end of Israel's war.
For the U.S. as a whole, this week will, in many respects, be a time to catch our breath before the next Caplunar (May 27) places Saturn precisely on Midheaven over Washington.
