Jim,

I have a friend who insists that tr. Mercury Retrograde influences negative connotations on one's ability to communicate..i.e. more misunderstandings...confusion, etc. (Tropical erroneous belief?)

My take is that it depends on which planets according to their intrinsic symbolism and Mercury Retrograde only indicates its (influence of communication) staying power.

So, how do you see Mercury Retrograde?

The popular jinx reputation of retrograde Mercury isn't supported by any data known to me other than individual anecdotal data, and I seriousl question those experiences.

In the broad picture of "Mercury things screwing up or going sideways," etc., some of the things that are not made significantly impoacted by a retrograde Mercury are: Computer failures, calls to computer support numbers, virus attacks, volume of telephone calls, traffic patterns, traffic accidents, or the likelihood that a company incorporated under it will succeed or fail.

Those are just the things that come off the top of my head.

How do a view the times that Mercury is retrograde? Pretty much the same as when it's direct.

Pretty much my take on Mercury Retrograde.

In any case Mercury only' 'appears' to go in reverse because the earth speeds up giving this illusion as a tree moving backward as viewed from a speeding train.
