Does the Eastpoint hold any significance?

I see that Pluto is soon gonna be conjunct my Eastpoint. Is the Eastpoint treated as something like the Ascendant or should I just ignore any transits to it?

Thank you Jim. I just did it and measured it in right ascension. There isn't much difference (a few arc minutes), but Pluto is even closer to the Eastpoint in RA.
