Re: Important Dates in the 2020 Election
I've been watching cable news this afternoon.
They've been talking about all kinds of things, but the upcoming US Presidential Election is a big topic. (I know. Duh.) Anyway, this election, despite Trump's best efforts, many if not most voters will vote by mail. Meaning their ballots will take longer to count than ballots cast using a voting machine.
Election results will take longer to be certified than in recent years. It may take a month to get all the votes counted, although we will have enough counted to have definitive results in 24 - 48 hours, depending on how many places choose to drag things out to try to benefit their man.
I expect Trump to declare victory within hours of the polls closing if there's not an obvious landslide against him.
These are my opinions, but a chart for Washington DC drawn for 11:50 PM on Nov 3 shows the Sun at the IC, of course, opposed by Uranus 3° off the MC, Moon 3° from square Neptune, and Mercury partile square Saturn, just off square Pluto by 3° and Jupiter by 4. I think it will surprise a lot of people that the results are not clear by midnight on the 4th, and a lot of tired people will try to declare the election so they can go to bed.
BTW Biden did say he thought Trump would try to steal this election, but he said that on Comedy Central last night. So, he might have been serious, but he's got wiggle room there if he needs it. He also said he thought the military would escort Trump from the White House with great dispatch if he refused to leave.

Re: Important Dates in the 2020 Election
By the afternoon of November 6, Moon enters Cancer with a Moon-Saturn opposition, with Saturn the degree of MC in exact mundane square to Sun within a degree of Descendant. Is this "end of the president" or "a terrible thing happens"?
Everything is then dormant until December 3. (Isn't that when the EC meets?) The new Canlunar has Mercury square Ascendant - that's all. The news is technical paperwork. Moon is opposite Jupiter-Pluto.
And so it goes for weeks. Most lunar ingresses are dormant. The really big one is the Arilunar December 23 which has the exact (16') Jupiter-Saturn conjunction exactly (to the quarter-degree) square MC, with Moon partile conjunct Mars, both partile square Pluto (Mars-Pluto 9'). (That one will be rough, hurtful, explosive, confrontational - but that's a;; I can say for sure right now.().)
But, other than that one late December chart, nothing is extreme or volatile or overly confusing.
I guess I should scan the solar ingresses.

Re: Important Dates in the 2020 Election
Transiting Saturn conjoins Capsolar MC November 1 to December 9. Transiting Jupiter conjoins Capsolar MC November 25 to December 15. It's always a little hard to tell, but Saturn comes before Jupiter and I'm inclined to read this as bad for whoever is in power - and perhaps general difficulties - in early November, transitioning to correctly working Democracy and a sense of relief by mid-December.
Right about the time of that troublesome December 23 lunar ingress, there are other signs of trouble: Transiting Mars squares Capsolar MC or conjoins EP December 26 to January 13. I'm sure there is wishful thinking coloring my interpretation which, however, is that Trump is on his way out and makes his last weeks as miserable on everyone as he can with as much damage as possible. (There is a new Congress as of January 3.) If he were re-elected, I think he either would have started pulling crap later or would wait until after his inauguration, not pull it exactly in the last three weeks of his term.
There are no transits to Cansolar angles or Capsolar Moon, but a very strange thing that I can't interpret right now: Transiting Neptune begins to square Cansolar Moon on January 20, exactly as the new administration begins.

EC doesn't actually meet. The individual state groups meet at the state capitols to cast their votes.

True. They were decades ahead of the world on "virtual meetings."

Re: Important Dates in the 2020 Election
Trump has moved most of the Republican convention to Jacksonville, FL, because they will let him hold a big in person convention with no masks or social distancing required. There will be some business meeting stuff done in Charlotte, NC.
The kicker is people ordering tickets for the convention in Jacksonville are required to sign a waiver holding Trump and his campaign harmless if the ticketholder gets Covid-19.

Or if we're feeling pessimistic about the results of the election... terror, hysteria?

My usual interpretation of Moon-Neptune aspects in this mundane scenario is:Mike wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:44 pmIdealism, perhaps?Jim Eshelman wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2020 4:10 pm There are no transits to Cansolar angles or Capsolar Moon, but a very strange thing that I can't interpret right now: Transiting Neptune begins to square Cansolar Moon on January 20, exactly as the new administration begins.
Or if we're feeling pessimistic about the results of the election... terror, hysteria?
It could be unrelated to the new administration (e.g., disease explosion), although the timing makes this seem unlikely.Extreme waves of emotional reaction, fervor, herd-mind arousal, panic, and even hysteria accompanied by confusion, disorientation, uncertainty, and an undermined sense of security. Typical events include tornadoes, major fires, structural collapses, and economic panic.
It can certainly by uncertainty, a sense of, "uh, so what happens now?" That suggests it rests on something we currently don't know about, I think.
If Trump has won, what could this mean? Panic? Something he declares in his inaugural address that hurls the world (the whole world! - not just U.S.) into a sense of uncertainty about the future dramatically beyond anything we've already come to expect?
If Trump has lost and Biden is inaugurated, is it merely the wondering, "What can he do now? Where will he take us?"
If Biden was elected but, perhaps, suddenly has failing health, that could create the right feeling, though I would expect it to be more centered on the U.S. instead of worldwide.
I'm thinking it's a natural, reasonable reaction to something new that we currently can't anticipate. The aspects are quite bad that day.
