Kinda makes me want to ask Jim just where in the Rocky Mt high of Denver would be the best place for my SSR....bc Denver in Feb sounds like a blizzard and chains on tires kinda place...but.....also a grand adventure to see if I could even physically get to the g spot.
New Topic
Personally, I wouldn't choose Denver for you.
I'd choose Sedona, AZ where your N Venus is on the MC straddled by your T Jupiter and T Moon, and T Uranus is on your DSC. That place would need to be fine-tuned, but it looks more like something you'd enjoy than Denver. Best to find a place you can stay, because the time you need to be there is 11:17 PM. Might work for a late dinner.
You'd love Sedona anyway.

It depends on which "good" you want. If you want happiness more - Venus stuff - there's a stretch east of Denver. If you want prosperity and flourishing - Jupiter stuff - then it's the west side, like around Grand Junction (near the Rocky Mountain National Monument and in the heart of the really excellent wine producing area of Palisades a few miles from Grand Junction.)
The SSR has Venus square Mars - sexy but also relationship-stressful - while Jupiter is emphasized by square to Moon, conjoins Mercury, and lets some wide Saturn into the mix. I like the Jupiter better than the Venus, because Venus also brings your natal Mercury-Saturn into the mix.
The west side of the state is interesting because it puts your natal Moon-Jupiter-Neptune near the MC. There's not a terrible spot in the mix - even natal Neptune being exactly angular isn't bad when it's aspected by both natal and transiting Jupiter.
I tried for a "have it all!" chart of putting both Jupiter's angular, but that takes you quite a bit north, to somewhere around the Wyoming-Montana border - maybe no what you want to do. Your natal Jupiter is on MC when the RAMC is 243°47' (adjusting for precession), which is longitude 105W58 (about a degree west of Denver), but to get transiting Jupiter rising you have to go to northeast Wyoming.
So, if Colorado is the target, I think Grand Junction, which has transiting Jupiter (square Moon) exactly rising, natal Neptune (tightly flanked by Moon and Jupiter) on Midheaven, and several other things nearby. It should make for a great, upbeat year and - while you're there especially! - a great vacation adventure.

I'm sure you'd love Sedona, where I'll be Saturday. But I get different math. V's Venus is 20° Sagittarius and I get a Sedona SSR MC of 5° Scorpio.
It does have Jupiter pretty angular - the more exact is farther east in Arizona - a little east of Winslow - but it's just within 1° in Sedona. Lot's room to move around that.
Grand Junction, CO btw, being on the western slope of the Rockies, is shielded from most of the horrid winter storms - which come across the plains, hit Denver hard, but are blocked by the mountains. That's why the best fruit growing areas, including grape growing, is on the western edge of the state.
But yes, Sedona is beautiful.

Yeah, N Venus 35' west of conj N MC, with T Jupiter 2° east and T Moon 5° west. T Uranus about 1° south of the T DSC. N Moon,Jupiter,Neptune conj off in Never-Never Land (Neptune Jupiter means getting fooled about money, happened to me twice so far this SSR. Add in the Moon, it's emotional) which I think is a good thing.

I do like the sound of an adventure, there was something almost daring in my mind when Jim was advising Flo on some opportunities that she had this past SSR. In my heart it sounds like a beautiful quest in a way....like a treasure hunt...which sounds fun! I would probably on the moment of my SSR do sonething silly like spun around 3x clapping saying "I do believe in Faeries"....because that would make it more fun to me.
Im not keen on putting my natal moon neptune jupiter any where near an angle. My solar arc Uranus is conjunct my Neptune and the negative health factors that could arise wuth that are nothing I want to deliberately accent. I am having some circulation issues as it is and I dont want to provide opportunity for things to worsen.
On an aside about that SA Uranus conjunct my natal Neptune, I at first was finding that transit very personal but that seems to have been the moon being acticated first becauae now thus transit Im definately sensing a deeper generational aspect that is influencing many of my friends from grade school as well.

Isn't it nice, I love it. A treasure hunt, yes that's how it feels to me too. It's one of those little gems of life and I can hardly wait. It's a bit worrysome though at the moment because France may change to code red as Spain has just done so, keep fingers crossed.
I have planned it as such that I am still off work in case when a quarantine is needed upon coming home. Last year I also went to France to a remote village with Jupiter conjuct MC almost exact. (it surely is one of my better years)
I am following your SSR plans closely and like reading where you finally want to go.
Have fun finding it all out.
Regards, Flo

Still thinking.......
I am not sure about this but when I was looking at the chart I thought that maybe if I head east towards Syracuse....and maybe all the way to the Atlantic that it would shift the angle away from my natal pluto and more towards my natal Uranus.
Is there a reason why when relocating a chart the MC is favored over the Ac?

No, there is no preference in terms of strength of importance.
There is an inadvertent
practical reason when doing the calculating: It's easier to identify the exact place where a planet is on MC/IC than where it is on Asc: MC/IC is just a single measurement, the planet's right ascension - a simple subtraction exercise - and it's the same for the entire longitude. For Asc/Dsc, you have to independently calculate for each combination of latitude and longitude - one can sit for half an hour or an hour doing various trials to get it right. Because of the math simplicity, I'm sure that much of the time (when possible) I start with finding a Midheaven I like (finding a longitude) and then trying different Ascendants.
But, for the end result, there's no preference of one over the other.

Thanks!
I am concidering Salem which I believe would put my natal Uranus (at 18°) on the Angle at 17°.
I could possibly rent a car and book a night at a hotel since I will ve on winter break from work.
I would love love love to be on the Atlantic Ocean and a deeper part of me would love to go to Salem and celebrate my 50 years touching Earth.......
In the chart I am looking at, my natal Uranus is in trine aspect only to the transiting sky.
I am trying to differentiate in my mind how that aspect differs, with and without the Angularness. The trine aspects are usually not concidered important in SSRs from my understanding. Does that change if obe of the planets are angular?
If my natal Uranus is angular that would imply that my iwn character expression of Uranus would be easier to express correct?
If I stay home my Uranus seems to not have much voice that year even with its trine aspect to Jupiter transiting.
Yet if I scoot over to the Pond.... (which in act even seems very Uranuan to do...not a big vacation spot in mid Feb...and a single woman driving a rental through New England Winter is pretty bold IMO).....Uranus seems to gain some nice momentum which is accented subtly by the transiting Trines.
Im not sure if Im asking my question clearly.
Is it special relativity as to if it is "better" to relocate a chart so that ones natal planets are angular.....
Or is it better to relocate to angularize the transiting pkanets?

Your Uranus
looks like it's about 2° from the angle (by longitude), but it's really only 0°12' below Descendant. Also, your natal Venus: For Salem, MA your SSR Ascendant is 20°50' Pisces, 0°32' from square your Venus. Finally, your Pluto is more widely foreground, being 8°41' above Dsc.
In the chart I am looking at, my natal Uranus is in trine aspect only to the transiting sky.
I am trying to differentiate in my mind how that aspect differs, with and without the Angularness.
Trines in return charts aren't effective. Trines simply by transit are ineffective (or negligibly effective). In your next SSR, your Uranus has no connection to any transiting planet. It's not a matter of orb, it's about the type of aspect.
If my natal Uranus is angular that would imply that my iwn character expression of Uranus would be easier to express correct?
Yes. Your own needs for freedom and renewal would be stronger and this would be a primary characteristic of your unfolding the year.
Is it special relativity as to if it is "better" to relocate a chart so that ones natal planets are angular..... Or is it better to relocate to angularize the transiting planets?
There is no clear rule on this - nothing makes one inherently better to be angular than the other. If anything, its
slightly the other way, because transiting planets show what the world is bringing you. But that's not a hard rule.

Bottom line: Putting your natal Venus-Uranus square within a degree of angles, no foreground transiting planets to consider, and a Moon-Jupiter square in the SSR... sounds like a fun, flourishing good time.

I do like the feel of moving that angle to my Uranus and Venus, I love your words Fun and Flourishing Jim. I feel like for 50 years I have been putting down roots and shoots and gosh wouldn’t it be wonderful to take some time away from work and kids and home and just have some fun and play and flourish and flower and feel wonderful. I feel like I really really need some fun and playtime just for myself. I do though feel like it is in a way selfish of me to take a vacation and spend money that I don’t really have, or money that I should be using for buying myself a car or set aside to move. I have such weird internal feelings about spending money on myself for frivolous things when I have 2 kiddos I need to support still and bills to pay and all that grown up stuff…….
But gosh….
That word flourish…….
Brings tears to my eyes to think about flowering and beauty and fun.
While I have tried to live a life I don’t need a vacation from, there is a part of me that so so so wants a bubble bath and a massage and a walk on the coast and a night in a hotel with a huge sauna tub and just to be pampered and feel loved and special and good about everthing.
Steve,
Bless your heart you are such a kind man to wish me the best. Each and every year. And it is so special to me to hear you say it because, well, I just feel in my bones 100% that you mean it with out a doubt, that you DO always wish me the best and have nice thoughts towards me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saying it though and giving it life and letting me know in your own way that you are supportive of the little narrative that is my life. I have had SUCH a great year in so many ways, so many wonderful things happened (non plaque related) and I have so many wonderful stories I could tell about how my 2020 was probably one of the best years of my life!!! Of course I think that fact is represented in my progressed Venus, as well as my solar arc Moon/Neptune/Jupiter which is in a very interesting spot in Sag/Cap.
Im in the mopping up phase of this year and I did/do feel things shifting and winding down a bit.
I have thought about a few other places that I would like to go to for my SSR……The National Museum of Nation History in Washington DC to see the Hope Diamond has always been a dream to see……..I have a friend who lives on an Island near myrtle beach who invited me to stay with her………My sister in Los Angles invited me to come as well……..and for some reason I just love going to see Niagara Falls in Feb…….those are places that I would like to go, but they don’t seem to do much for my chart to boost my year and truthfully the expense of travel as well as the Covid factor is putting me off. I am thinking ahead to 2022 and the mars/venus conjunction in my SSR which would be nice to put on an angle if……
I am seriously trying to reevaluate my relationship with energy/money and have thought that I might beset serve my kids and myself by finding a nice Jupiter line to try and capitalize on that and improve my finances. I am considering going back to school and working on my Bachelor’s degree so that I am able to earn more money. I really am getting tired of not having a pot to p**** in. when Soft Alpaca wrote in a thread that if anybody could live off of minium wage it would be me…..it really hit home and made me cry that it is apparent to others how financially poor and struggling I am and how sad that must be for my children.
