A year or two ago when I researched historic patterns of Jupiter-Pluto aspects, one of the pleasant surprises I found was that these are times of recovery, healing, or correction (by heroic measures) of wrong (unjust, dangerous, undermined) conditions, turning a corner, and reversing the tide - including healing disease. In fact, one of the clues alerting me to this pattern was prior management of pandemics: Jupiter-Pluto hard marked a diphtheria antitoxin reaching Nome by dog sled to combat the 1925 epidemic, the spread and then containment of the West Africa Ebola outbreak in 2014, and other alarms and responses to large-scale health crises.
The theme is predominantly one of healing, and the phrase "rounding the corner" kept coming to mind - whether of disease or of social and political conditions. I already knew that Jupiter-Pluto marked times of ideological zeal and extremism, challenging existing political-cultural systems, but I hadn't previously realized its role in reconstructing a social order with particular focus on defense of justice, liberty, and democracy with new, effective alliances, often with ethnic or nationalist coalescing.
We are experience various forms of this rounding the bend and healing in these weeks closely surrounding the recent Jupiter-Pluto conjunction - socially and politically with the election of Biden and Harris, and medically with (now) two SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. I drew on this understanding of Jupiter-Pluto for my forecast for this week - based on Moon's Sidereal Libra ingress November 13 - saying,
Things are about to get significantly better. Saturn transits the Washington MC of the 2020 Capsolar (the master mundane chart of the year) July 13 to December 9. It's first transit pass was in February when it marked the first round of COVID-19 impact and the gutting of the stock market (IIRC it was exact February 20). It then backed away and came back in July, with various (mostly related) consequences such as worsening virus spread and the removal of a president.Worldwide, Moon squares Jupiter and Pluto (1°) and Saturn (2°). Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct within 0°04'. Worldwide, therefore, there is a sense of turning a corner, reversing the tide, healing or correcting wrong conditions, even reconstructing a social order, though still with the Moon-Saturn grip of tragedy.
Saturn's transit of the Capsolar MC ends December 9. Jupiter then transits Capsolar MC November 25 to December 15. Therefore, beginning on Thanksgiving Eve, we start to see new conditions that surely will draw our gratitude. For two months last spring, Jupiter's first transit to Capsolar MC brought a temporary sense of healing and recovery with easing conditions, circulated stimulus funds, expanding markets, and reawakened economies. November 25 to December 9 will be a stabilizing transition from the Saturn zone to the Jupiter zone. Beginning 12/10, Jupiter rules the time for a few days.
Things feel better!
Concurrently, Mars in Sidereal Pisces originally ran June 20 to August 18, then (after a month in Aries around the September station), a rerun of Mars in Pisces beginning October 1. In both passages, we have seen increased virulence (intensification of disease and toxic behavior, hotbeds of infection, seething hurtfulness); unhealed wounds open and festering (e.g., racial violence and outrage); betrayals, back-stabbing, back-biting insinuation, and passionate lying, etc. This passage, consistent with social and medical virulence, ends on December 25.
Merry Christmas!
