I've been looking over this year's solar return and it looks auspicious for the year Terry and I plan to make our marriage legal. We are already married in all but name--the damnable pandemic slowed down the legal process. SSR Sun-Venus conjoined across the Descendant catches the eye, close trine to the background Scorpio SSR Moon. My natal Sun--Venus are obviously also close to the descendant. SSR Venus is on the WP-l very close. Malefics both SSR and natal are conspicuous by their absence from the angles.
I have been referring to Terry as my wife since June 2020, as it looked like governor Newsome might well never lift the lockdown on skilled nursing facilities. While purchasing the license and having the ceremony could be done online it was an absolute iron-clad requirement that both parties had to have current picture ID, which neither she nor I had. The DMV insisted we had to come in person to a DMV office (really simple with every office in the state closed as well as being in lockdown where one couldn't leave the SNF "except to go to the doctor, the hospital, or the morgue"--our facility administrator's exact words). I wrote to every politician and bureaucrat I could think of, both San Bernardino County and State of California (including Newsome himself) explaining our situation, but no help was forthcoming.
So definitely the emotions seem to be more about legalities. But there is another factor, Terry is interested in gently exploring sexuality together after we are legally married (a faith requirement for her). So all than Venus is looking good on that front, too. I notice a real difference between my natal and SSR Sun-Venus: the total absence of Eris in the latter.
Comments much appreciated.

Eris is chaos. Its absence is a good thing.

Re: My 2021 SSR
I have nothing to say about your SSR.
I just wanted to comment on what a beautiful thing for me to hear about how so very much in love you are that you wrote letters of appeal to people to be wed.
I mean, who does that anymore...write letters. Most people now have never received or sent a real letter.
It is so touching and heartfelt, and is an art and I am so happy to hear that people still do that.
Thank you for being such a loving man Mike and sharing that with us. In a world where men are prized for their physical power, it is refreshing to know that their are those who are touch with their true power, their love.

Re: My 2021 SSR
Thanks Veronica.
I've long since given up on traditional masculinity with an exception: My rising Mars in Taurus is sextile to my Sun-Venus-Eris triple conjuction -- I will fight for love and justice, if need be physically, if need be chaotically, but most commonly with my words (Pisces Mercury conjoined to Aries Moon).
I am a Christian, and my go to response to most situations is to turn the other cheek -- but not when those I love are under threat. When it comes to Terry, I am as much a believer in threefold return as any Wiccan ever born. One resident here in our assisted living facility was behaving in a threatening fashion towards Terry (he didn't actually lay hands on her -- if he had, I would have rendered him unconscious if Terry didn't beat me to it). Instead I told him "whatsoever you do to Terry, I will repay three times over: eye for eye, tooth for tooth, blood for blood, life for life". He never bothered her again--the look on his face was rather like what I'd expect to see if he were looking at his own open grave. He was eventually expelled from the facility for harassing several other female residents. He wasn't the first man to melt under what she calls my death stare, he will not be the last unless no other man is fool enough to mess with her.
Terry has been known to call me Don Quixote. I sometimes manage to live up to that. She's worth it. When I have a bit more time, I need to write our story in more detail.

Well, since you're asking
-- it is always amusing to me to see how the Pisces Suns weave their own unique peculiar passion stories, to get entangled and lost into them - for better or worse
The Pisces Venus has also the masochistic note which often takes one or another form of what's nowdays recognized as 'romantic courtship" culturally, but is yet another variation of the Neptune theme - now with Venus, instead of Sun (the dominion and bondage/ master and slave theme...).
I think after transiting Pluto is done to your natal Moon, you'll have a clearer perspective of own authentic needs, emotional/regarding intimate partnerships included.

Re: My 2021 SSR
With all of that, the only Class 1 aspect in the foreground (there is only one) is transiting Venus conjunct natal Sun 1°27' in mundo.
You do have an interesting obscure aspect, one that works perfectly (indistinguishably well as ecliptical aspects) in ingresses so I don't know why it wouldn't work in other contexts: Transiting Uranus is at azimuth 270°41', meaning almost exactly due west (mundanely on the Vertex, which I think has no meaning at all itself). Any planet exactly on the prime vertical is square any planet exactly on the horizon, since the PV and horizon are square each other. With your Sun 1°03' past Descendant in altitude and Uranus 0°37' past the Vertex in PV amplitude, you have a Sun-Uranus square within about 0°26'. Since Venus is 0°24' before the horizon, you have a Venus-Uranus square within about 1°01'.

Don Quixote?
I tried to read that story a few years ago, and I never finished it. I've heard so many references to it my whole life about a hero who picks a fight with a windmill....yet I just couldnt get into it. It's like that with me, in that I try to read books that popular culture make out to be the bees knees, and I just cant get into them. Terry Gilliam was working on a movie but it never came to be.
You seem more like Sir Galahad of the Round Table to me, but that's perspective and point of view for you.

I definitely identify with the Sir Galahad mythos as well. I do notice I've been significantly happier since I've been going with my natural inclinations instead of fighting them (which I the story of too much of my life).Veronica wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:00 am Don Quixote?

To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go...
It was a musical.
I am I Don Quixote the lord of La Mancha My Destiny calls and I go...
I would have thought it would be one of your favorites. Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren starred in the movie, but if you can find the original cast (with Richard Kiley) it's still the best. You can find clips on youtube of all the songs.
Oh this shouldn't be here. I'm going to post it, start a thread in Club A and remove this in a couple of hours.
