Re: Patrick Machado
In a more private part of this site, after I mentioned that I have never been in any significant relationship and another member inquired about the astrological "why," we received the following assessment, which I thought worth preserving.
Jim Eshelman wrote:Mon Jan 03, 2022 9:04 am Patrick, also not feeling the need to explain every last detail, this is nonetheless an important area of life and I suspect the answer is pretty simple: I'd guess the answer is simply that you've had other interests, life has been marvelously fascinating, and you have a slight tendency to be more of a loner than not.
Does this seem right to you? Or am I off track.
If so, then your chart is a great example of how one needs to not let every individual detail get in the way of the overview of the chart as a whole. Yes, in simple terms your Venus is exalted and has one sublime aspect, a 0°11' square with Jupiter (which is also dignified). This is a great aspect for both planets. It's just in a terribly inexpressed place. That wouldn't wholly suppress it from shining through, but... the bigger picture is, who are you fundamentally in the first place?
Foremost, you are an Aquarius-Capricorn with Moon conjunct a 0°34' Mercury-Uranus conjunction very precisely on an angle:
7°23' Cap - Uranus
7°51' Lib - MC
7°54' Cap - Mercury
10°07' Cap - Moon (2°30' from Asc)
Nothing else is stronger in your chart than this combination. It means (such things as) that you approach the world with all your senses wide open, drinking in everything - and drinking it in as data, as information to process. You're stunningly curious and want to look into and know about all sorts of things - maybe everything! It also describes how that mind works, which is more or less irrelevant to the present discussion except that it's fundamentally independent instead of consensual and agreeable. Mercury-Uranus people are a bit odd socially, though usually not unpopular (they are, after all, terribly interesting with their odd thoughts <g>).
Add this to Venus and Jupiter both being background (Jupiter acutely so) and what we have is - a geek You love your ideas and interests and - so far - have simply chosen to spend more time with them than in building romance.
Am I hitting this right, or missing the mark?
This is all against the background of being an Aquarius-Capricorn. Both of these placements, of course, are compatible with social connection, and Cap Moon is particularly good at a nice, sociable facade that keeps people at a safe distance. These luminary sign positions could go either way on personal relationships but they do lean slightly more toward being emotionally solitary. Aquarius Sun, of course, reiterates the "geek interested in non-stop inquiry into interesting things" side. Aquarius is profoundly moved by people as a whole, but less often by persons and, frankly, tends to be more apart even when with a bunch of people.
Within this basic personality, how do we treat the close Venus-Jupiter background aspect? Well, I've never had any sense that you're socially maladapted. There's nothing wrong or absent. Your rabid curiosity and passion to take in everything and understand it simply is stronger than your need for social connection.
Or... that's my take from your chart, at least.
Re: Patrick Machado
Patrick, here is a link to your 9th Harmonic Chart:
https://ibb.co/7NZjKzh
With astrological methodologies in India the 9th Harmonic Chart has to do with relationships, but I am no expert on the specifics of how the 9H is used to read things pertaining to relationships. I have read different methods for interpreting the 9H for relationships. But I have learned this: When Geometric patterns appear with partile aspects in any kind of harmonic chart, the authors on harmonics say important themes in life manifest with the life pertaining to the symbolic of the harmonic number, in this case with relationships, at least with the astrological lore out of India pertaining to the 9TH Harmonic.
We see in your 9H a distinct geometric triangle calculating a partile trine of Neptune-Pluto with a partile sextile of Venus to Neptune and Pluto. This produces a Direct Midpoint of Nep/Pl = Venus. Venus is in the 7th House of relationships which would probably be a big deal with an astrologer from India. FWIW, Ebertin from his book “Combination of Stellar Influences writes about this direct midpoint:
But, if any truth is contained in Ebertin's above words, my best guess this direct midpoint in your 9 Harmonic chart could be indicating you may find your “significant relationships” in an environment pertaining to Ebertin’s quoted words above. Also note this Triangle partly connects to two partile octiles of Mars to Neptune and Sun to Pluto. This is a most complex geometry of 5 Planets---no way I could even begin to read this geometry of planets, and please realize this all could mean absolutely nothing---so take with a grain of salt. The only reason I bring this 9H chart to your attention is I can tell you are a serious student of astrology and can make your own sound decisions for your life pertaining to your life's directions.
Always remember your Natal Venus receives a partile 90 from Jupiter--the greater benefic in astrology.

I find these words evocative of Venus in Pisces, so I can't argue with my Venus leaning in such a direction.SteveS wrote: Mon Jan 03, 2022 9:44 pmFWIW, Ebertin from his book “Combination of Stellar Influences writes about this direct midpoint:

In for a ride
Throughout the next three months, I'll have a convergence, or perhaps more precisely a sequence with overlaps, of interesting, impactful, and even outstanding prognostic factors. The bulk of it are Lunar Returns, but I'm posting it here instead of on my thread dedicated to those, both to keep that one in chronological order and because I thought this discussion deserved this space.
On September 7, at the same time as Neptune going exact on my Saturn, I'll have an "Outstanding Incident" Pluto on Neptune SLR (<3° angularities, partile aspect). The Pluto on Neptune transit itself recently became exact for the penultimate time, and will become exact for the last time in late November to early December, at the tail end of the three-month period I'm discussing. It hasn't "rocked my world" after its first pass, but it has been fascinating and transformative (I might write a report on it later on), and if it's got any unfinished business with me, now will be the time.
The following full Lunar Return is relatively minor (though it does echo the current Solar Return in a way), but mid-October my progressed Moon reenters Capricorn for the first time. Then, on October 18, I have a Demi-SLR which is the single most stunning return chart of mine I've come across ever since I started watching them. In this chart, transiting Moon, Sun, and Venus, as well as natal Mercury and Uranus, are each partile on an angle, and all of these planets are in partile or (in two cases) nearly partile aspect with each other. Transiting Pluto also ties into it to an extent. A few days later, my progressed Sun enters another constellation for the first time, for what that's worth.
Then, on October 31, an extremely malefic Lunar Return begins, with transiting Mars partile on EP, transiting Neptune under 2° from Midheaven, and natal Saturn on Midheaven 0°02'. They all aspect each other under 3°. The only other relevant factor is transiting Jupiter 5°25' from Midheaven, which doesn't do much to change the impression of this being one of the most atrocious months one could have. The Demi-SLR that follows is basically a weaker replica of the full SLR, with orbs shifted around a bit, and it even includes the more widely angular Jupiter again.
I thought it worth it to bring up this period of prognostics ahead of time, then report about it (either looking back or as it unfolds).
One reason I may have singled out this three-month period in my mind is because it is precisely when I'll be hard at work on my thesis (capstone project), but I don't expect that to take psychological space to the extent of being a major manifestation of these Lunars. Maybe if I'm not nearly done writing by November, the malefic factors could be partly showing that. Another reason I'm sharing this could just be that I obviously looked at all of this ahead of time, and didn't want to wait much longer to talk about it.
In any case, I'm at a point where every major area of my life is either changing or about to change (seemingly at my own hands). I have a few guesses as to what might be coming my way, but I'm not telling—yet, at least. The observation that things are shifting, and the feeling that they are about to shift much more, could certainly be fueling my astrological expectations. In any case, I'm looking forward to finding out whatever there is to find out, even if it's closer to simply "life as usual" than I'd expect.

September was an unusual month. (See my Lunar Returns' thread. Any more than August or July, though? I don't think so.) It also set up October as the start of an unrelentingly busy period ("can't drop the ball"), which should go on at least until the end of November.

Re: Patrick Machado
October was unusual too, and busy as predicted—mentally and even emotionally busy, including a hell of a lot of self-reflection, especially during the last third of the month. Unmentioned in my Lunar Returns' thread about the October 18 chart—because I wanted to convey there only its most unambiguous, eventful manifestations through which its accuracy could be more straightforwardly gauged—is the fact that there was stuff happening inwardly for me, without much need for outer triggers. I'm not going to go into specifics right now (knowing me, likely ever), but I'll say that the content of what I was dealing with matches the transiting factors of the chart. So, for the record, in my estimation, that stunning (and certainly outstanding!) Demi-Lunar Return I was eyeing ahead of time really delivered (me).
Progressed Sun entering Pisces could be relevant for the period. The timing and symbolism are at least interesting.

Re: Patrick Machado
I have come to see my consistent unusual life as just the Solar Aquarius expressions. It seems for me anyway that every day is highly unusual in some shape or form.

Re: Patrick Machado
And, concluding the reports on this three-month period, November was also out of the ordinary—nastily. The whole period, in fact, leant in an unpleasant direction: a lot of stress and a bombardment of concerns and demands. The major exception was the time covered by the October 18 Demi-Lunar Return, which felt a lot like a "protective bubble." And that entailed my taking things a bit too easy, in turn setting myself up for a more challenging November. Veronica's comment reminds me that the Aquarian theme of time management has been prevalent.
It's not over. I'm still not done with the piece of academic work I (correctly) anticipated would be a source of concern last month. And there is a process of emotional revising still going on. But it does feel that the dust is starting to settle in regard to these last three months' nearly non-stop ride. I think I got it more right than wrong when I highlighted this period in the way that I did.

I'm sorry to hear it's been rough. It's tempting to celebrate how well astrology is operating, but you have my sympathy for being in the midst of it.

Thanks. Fortunately, that same astrology indicates a significant turnaround soon, especially in regard to the long-term, with factors such as progressed Sun about to leave 1° orb of natal Saturn and, most of all, the end of a run of consecutive Solars with natal Saturn foreground (which is also the start of a run of consecutive Solars with natal Venus and Jupiter foreground that I can possibly fine-tune).

Psychologist
Today I was officially granted the title of Psychologist. (With Mercury returning and Jupiter squaring solar Mercury.) I had never told anyone this, but the decision to embark on this path, over eight years ago, was largely informed by astrological insight from my chart. At this level of fulfillment of that choice, it felt proper to disclose that.

Congratulations! I now you've been working toward this for years. It's a significant achievement (just as a few malefic nagging transits leave orb and go on their unmerry way).
The lunar and demi-lunar are surprisingly harsh. Do you think these are tied in? Or unrelated? Your spectacularly positive and fitting SSR at work?
Yesterday at this time, your natal Jupiter crossed SQ Ascendant almost to the second - squared by SSR Jupiter. One would have guessed that academic and professional accolades, certification, and relevant would have occurred yesterday. Did some significant part of this happen about 24 hours ago, or should be start wondering if your birth time is as much as four minutes earlier than stated? (BTW, for a transition point, you still have SQ Moon conjunct Pluto, conjoined yesterday by Mercury.)

Re: Patrick Machado
I think they're mostly unrelated, especially being at their tail end. (The full Lunar didn't strike me as particularly bad.) Yes, going into the current Solar I knew the year would feature several malefic Lunars bringing Saturn's transit to my early Hub planets to angles, and wasn't as much concerned about them as I was displeased about the splendid SSR being partially "wasted" countering them. For better or for worse, I seem to have been right: those tightly orbed malefic Lunars, while accurate enough, have not been manifesting, shall we say, "outstandingness" in practice. To put it another way, outcomes are consistently good, and it hasn't been different this time. The last Ennead of the solar year also features natal Venus and Jupiter, perhaps reflecting its culmination.Jim Eshelman wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:14 pmThe lunar and demi-lunar are surprisingly harsh. Four minutes seems too large of an error. I've developed a preference for tracking transits within a 40' orb, and transits to angles have been consistently reliable thusly.
