1139 Ganja earthquake

Post by Jim Eshelman »

September 30, 1139, time unknown, modern Azerbaijan near Ganja, 40.3° N, 46.2° E
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1139_Ganja_earthquake

Estimated magnitude 7.0-7.3. Historic death toll of 230,000-300,000 is considered controversial, though death toll is accepted as having been vast and terrible. "Tremendous damage." Since no time is known, I'll use noon.

The charts are really bad, as if I had random data instead of a correct date. I assume the data is correct, but the charts are totally wrong.
