Breaking the Sound Barrier

Post by Jim Eshelman »

October 14, 1947, 8:00 AM PST, over Rogers Dry Lake, Mojave Desert

Chuck Yeager boarded the plane at about 8 AM and became the first person to break the sound barrier soon after. Did this show as a world-collective event? (Arguably the mass effect was in nearby Victorville, the population center that heard his sonic boom - a new phenomena! But I'm using the location that, as best I can tell, was the event itself.)

While the Capsolar wasn't exactly wrong, the Cansolar has quite correct (and strong) symbolism. The Caplunar was quite solid. Then the daily patterns walked it right up to the door and showed the day (with the Uranus transit to Capsolar angles being completed by CapQ angles hitting the same Uranus 90° away).
