2024 - 2025 SLRs/DSLRs
I guess I just wanted to start this thread to distinguish between my SSRs & my SLRs.
September 13th:
MOON/VENUS/PLUTO forrground/angular
Mars Partile Conjunct N.Venus Cadent
Since I got back from Japan on the 8th, I've been extremely depressed and procrastinating. I can usually distinguish between organic and external stimuli in my depression and this feels extremely organic. Although external factors may compound it and give a face to it.
The biggest event to happen, which was a minor irritation included my aunt making up lies about my mother to paint her in a negative light.
I just turned 40, and I'm really more concerned about my health. It's time for me to face sobering realities. Today is the day of my DSLR, and it feels like my main SLR struck a dumb note.
My DSLR begins today with Pluto Square N. Saturn on the MC.

Moon-Venus-Pluto isn't a planet set for depression and procrastination (which I think is mostly from the Saturn transit at the moment).
However, that planet set IS consistent with hormonal imbalance and irregularity. If you want to start looking into health causes, that's the area I might start.

TY, Jim! Yeah, my hormones are always unbalanced due to my pituitary issues. I was thinking it might have been health related, but then I remember that those are often mirrored in the cadent houses. But you never know, like I said, it does feel like something organic conpounded by the existential dread of being a newly 40 year old woman, whi men treat like the plague unless they can use me in one way or another. I thought that this SLR would manifest differently, and I think now, I'm more set to learn how to cope with this sense of loneliness I feel.Jim Eshelman wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 6:28 am Moon-Venus-Pluto isn't a planet set for depression and procrastination (which I think is mostly from the Saturn transit at the moment).

That's true in a natal chart - for innate vulnerabilities etc. - but of course in a return chart it's going to be what's foreground (nothing else really matters much).Venus_Daily wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:55 am I was thinking it might have been health related, but then I remember that those are often mirrored in the cadent houses.
Just as a starter - not as a diagnosis, but for your consideration as a medical professional - here are the soundest medical correlations I know for these three planets in various combinations:
Moon-Venus. Hormones in general. Female reproductive biology (ova, menstruation, all fluids related to female reproduction). Interaction of hindbrain and limbic system.
Moon-Pluto. Irregular menstruation; conception, lost pregnancy. Anomalous and unlikely medical conditions. Profound psychological impact of events (e.g., PTSD), eruptions or disorders of the psyche, cathartic events (debilitative or healing). [Also, in natal, I've found it a significant factor in auto-immune responses.]
Venus-Pluto. Significant changes or shifts in endocrine function. Hormone release into the blood (first menstruation, menopause). Sex-related afflictions. Psychological impact (trauma) disturbs body equilibrium. Thyroid, kidney, or blood sugar disease. – Conception.

Thanks, Jim. Thankfully I get my hormones checked next month. I bet this may also be the underlying message of my SSR. Lol, maybe that trip, I should have remained home.Jim Eshelman wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 8:01 amThat's true in a natal chart - for innate vulnerabilities etc. - but of course in a return chart it's going to be what's foreground (nothing else really matters much).Venus_Daily wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:55 am I was thinking it might have been health related, but then I remember that those are often mirrored in the cadent houses.

Oh, I don't think that's true at all! You're going to end up with a much happier year this way.

Re: 2024 - 2025 SLRs/DSLRs
My DSLR has definitely been a lot more descriptive. With natal Saturn on the Mc, I feel like I'm burning the candle in both ends. But it's definitely lucrative. Natal Saturn and Natal Mercury are definitely significant of people who toil for their income. I must say, I am grateful for my last SSR as it was a blessing in disguise. There were so many teachable moments that I learned about that can also transfer to other areas of my life. One of the biggest lessons was letting go and chosing your battles.
I don't know if I have OCD, but with a Sag Moon and angular Mercury, it definitely fits. I noticed that if I do have OCD it's not in line with external ticks and physical action to bring relief, it's more internalized rituals that bring relief for a little bit but then the intrusive thoughts and feelings start up again later. Moon/Venus is definitely significant of internalization and possibly an inability to compartmentalize. I haven't tried just sitting with these feelings of loneliness, desperation, and inadequacy for a.long time. I've been working on trying to accept reality for the way it is and not for what I want it to be.

Sag Moon can certainly tend to OCD, especially with regard to requiring perfection.

Well, since DSLR, I've had some weird synchronous events happen that I can't chalk up to purely coincidence. They're not earth shattering, just odd. I know I'm supposed to be patient, but my remaining SLRs don't seek impressive for good or bad.

Every lunar return means something - and something happens. It frames your reality for two weeks. Some are only internal, some leak out and express "outside" events.Venus_Daily wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 4:32 pm I know I'm supposed to be patient, but my remaining SLRs don't seek impressive for good or bad.
I'm skeptical too much will blossom until transiting Saturn clears your Sun etc. around the first of the year. In between I see some pro and con things. With the bad charts, the thing to remember is that you have a GOOD solar return, which makes bad lunars not so bad and makes good lunars better. For example, your October 10 SLR has Saturn opposite your Sun and square your Mars in the foreground - that will be a rougher couple of weeks than usual (but occurring inside a GOOD solar return). Then the next one, November 6, has your natal Venus-Jupiter square foreground (with Venus quite close).
There are then good charts and bad charts throughout the rest of the year. The April 19 SLR is an example of a great one, with transiting Jupiter really strong and your Sun somewhat strong. The May 17 is strange - if I had to guess, it would be a beautiful time of pursuing fantasies, though being disillusioned in the end. (It's a fantastic Venus 0°03' from an angle and Jupiter next most angular, with natal Neptune involved - then, contradicting everything else, Saturn squares your Neptune 0°07'.) My usual advice for this kind of chart is to enjoy it while it's good, then let go when it's time.
There's quite a mix.

Re: 2024 - 2025 SLRs/DSLRs
A few years ago when I started learning Astrology, specifically Sidereal, I kept a little note book in which I started logging events and experiences that seemed synchronous, out of the ordinary, and or repeating themes in my life. It was/a very fruitful and helpful exercise for me to better understand myself and others in my life. I was able to see how the choices I seemed to be making were part of a bigger pattern and helped me explore "choices" I had made in the past.Venus_Daily wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 4:32 pm Well, since DSLR, I've had some weird synchronous events happen that I can't chalk up to purely coincidence. My events would not for the most part seem Earth shattering, relevant or even noteworthy to others, but in the framework of my charts were very descriptive and telling of my inner life and progression throughout my life. It was also just a nice way to note to myself so that when I reread it in years to come I call easily recall the nice day Crow brought me a sparkly earring, or I had been needing new shoes and found the perfect in my dreams pair.

Re: 2024 - 2025 SLRs/DSLRs
It's difficult, Jim. I wonder if this is just a sign to finally find a path to release and find a way to cope. I've been at this my entire adult life and most of my adolescence. I'm already 40, and. I'm seeing most of the people around me having a good time. I just wish this urge would go away. Even channeling it i nto other avenues doesn't work.Jim Eshelman wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 6:36 pmEvery lunar return means something - and something happens. It frames your reality for two weeks.
